You didn't notice that the Optimus Prime figure is called "Optimus Prime" and not "Convoy"? They're using the American names for these releases, that's all there is to it. (As a proper answer to your question: Hot Rod is called "Hot Rodimus" in Japan, and "Rodimus Convoy" as Rodimus Prime).

Trivia: The "Hot Rod" name was used in Japan, for Armada Hot Shot.

I got both wildrider and clear henkei convoy didn't realize both are that rare

I wish I was collecting when Wildrider came out. $300 bucks on eBay is what I saw it going for. I love Hot Rod but I cant see myself spending that much on a deluxe.... or any figure to tell you the truth.

BBTS has these in stock now..Just got my order confirmation.It's sitting in my POL right now, might wait for a few more things..

That Rodimus is effin bad ass..I plan on keeping this MISB so Im not worried about prime, it is fugly though..Shame they didnt use the classics prime..This set would have sold out so fast if they had...

I agree, it would have been nice if they released clear Henkei Convoy with Rodimus. I guess they didn't see it going that way , but if they did, we would be paying a hell of a lot more than what we are paying now. Though the Prime in there is fugly, it is a decent representation of Prime, so I'll take it.

I wish I got on the ground floor of the Clear Henkei Convoy when it was going for $199...now it's insane.


This one will surely go up too just for Rodimus alone, maybe even a special Protector set just for this version. That would be like a sweet punch in the gut of my wallet if FansProject did something like that.

Can't wait till this set arrives to me. like most others, just want it for the Rodimus. I am not a fan of that prime mold at all. My set will stay MISB.
