You're absolutely right; I saw it right after Nemesis and Windblade on the twitter account and jumped on it I'll fix it right away.

Yeah, I have the tru exclusive version, it's pretty good. But trust TT to turn these figures into the works of art and love they were designed to be, primus knows hasbro would never do that - too costly

No regrets.

I've thought this too. I'm surprised it hasn't been brought up before. If youre going to give a figure wings make them at his shoulders, granted they probably weren't able to do that with this mold.
I really wish I hadn't missed the preorders for Nemesis Prime, although it's for the best since I already have one black Prime figure and if I got any more I'd really be down the rabbit hole.

The paint job on him is nice, but just as nice as Hasbro's paintjob on the Clash repaint.

Just for the painted sword alone, I'd like to have that figure, and I hate the character and the head. The Warrior class Power Surge Prime mold is a fantastic throwback to what TF's used to be.
Care to share more thoughts on that mold and why you feel that way? And do you feel that about the original mold as well or just the retool?

It has a formless, lump-like vehicle mode with body parts sticking out of it, and sh|t articulation in half of his body in robot mode, something smells of Armada to me

I assume you're talking about Prime; it's a tractor trailer, clear as day. There's maybe ONE joint missing from the arms, that would help but it's not THAT bad.

TAV61 God Optimus Prime has also been revealed. It is a redeco of TAV50 and has a very similar deco to the Hasbro version of this mold known as Power Surge Optimus Prime. Comparison images can also be found below. Let us know if these are worth the import, especially at the higher exchange rate. They are currently available for preorder at Takaratomymall for ¥2,700 ($27) and ¥9,720 ($97) respectively and coming out November 12th 2016.

Love the dark gray shoulders instead of the Hasbro version's baby blue shoulders.

(especially since habsro's has all those additional 'energy' paint apps) you could buy the hasbro release and paint it up yourself for a sliver of the price
Also, wouldn't it be more since TTmall doesn't let people order them from outside of Japan? So wouldn't they be even more expensive from the likes of bbts?

Only if they were exclusives, giving the other distributor (Hasbro Asia or now Transformers Asia) ability to ask for more. But these arent exclusives, so they can still get them from any middleman. BBTS and TFSource can never buy directly from takara (doesnt matter if they are ttmall exclusives or not) but when they arent exclusives, the amount of middlemen they can buy it form is very high and thus the rates are far more competitive, so they can charge the takara MSRP (or less if they made a deal before the exchange rate hike http://tfsource.com/transformers-advent ... mus-prime/).

Right, but at that point, the original point still stands, is anyone going to pay $100 for that crappy prime figure? Maybe they'll order enough to cover pre-orders, but, I mean, I've seen it, held it, and it is just no where near worth $100 + shipping

Oh I know, I just wanted to give some info, hope you didnt mind. I would also be very curious who in Japan would pay that amount. Most japanese retailers dont use the MSRP and sell him for 60$ instead which is the same price point that mold goes for in Canada.

But it's those little details that are really sticking out there for me
Posted by Sabrblade on September 29th, 2016 @ 3:43pm CDT
Takara's version has white on its arms, the wings seem to be more translucent, the arm fins have their deco inverted, the sides of the robot mode torso are gray instead of red, colored wheel rims, dark blue hands instead of gray hands, Aerobolt is more extensively painted, gray circles on the shoulders, white truck sides instead of red, and maybe more differences.Hellscream9999 wrote:D-Maximus_Primal wrote:They both look beautiful paint wise

Let's pretend the Minicons cost $100 and the Prime is a bonus figure.

Speaking of which, I think that it should be mentioned in the news story that the o/p mold comes with the first tav release of the weaponizer dragonus and tricerashot, and may - ironically - be the among the easiest ways people in the US could get those figures

Is there some retooling on the figure as well, new shoulder cannons or is it just the pic? I never realized you could peg minicons on the sword, nice.

Keep in mind that whole image is blue-tinted given it's from a recording of a recording, so everything in it has a blue hue to it.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Nemesis Prime is a fantastic repaint of the Clash of the Transformers, Power Surge Optimus Prime, itself a retool of the Warrior Class Optimus Prime figure. The black and silver pops on the figure thanks to the teal highlights. The mold features a great cross play pattern with the weapons. If you can only get one, either US version is great, but if you can get two, Nemesis Prime is worth the price.

Exactly that, a red blade:
I gues they wanted to give a different weapon colour than before since it would be the same weapon again
