Takara Tomy has updated their website with an interesting little "upgrade" for the Amazaon Japan version of MP-13 Soundwave, who comes with a clear Energon cube accessory. They're offering a downloadable papercraft Energon colored insert to give the clear cube an energized appearance. Images mirrored below.

That's lame this isn't included with all MP-13s (the energon cube itself.) What's this thing going for now, $200? Least they could do is include the .02 cube...

last time i checked when soundwave makes the cubes they are empty, if he could produce energon filled cubes why would they bother draining the earth of its energy?

They probably made the paper craft for those who want the cube to be a (filled) decoration, rather than a blank cube coming out of his chest, ready to be filled later. The photo is meant to advertise the papercraft, not the figure, and shows off better where it is, rather than on the ground, overpowered by the figure itself

I have no use for a papercraft cube or a translucent cube that attaches to his chest. Pass for me, someone else that's more into the little stuff can have it.

I guess I don't really care about the cube or insert. I'm just happy to be getting a Masterpiece Soundwave.

I thought the cube was coming with Soundwave......it was in some earlier pics of him that came out a while back.

It is, however it's just the blank frame. You can however slide the purple folding sheet you download, print and fold into that frame.

Oh, i got a little confused. I thought people were saying that the cube wouldn't be with Soundwave. What would be the best paper to use for the skin?
