If no one does it first, I'll post a pic of leg Groove with Chest Groove on Hasbro Defensor. However, sorry, but my accountant will rip out something important in my chassis if I bought 4 UW Defensors...

Haha, totally understandable. I don't really expect anybody here to actually get four UW Defensors, especially for that purpose. At best, it's going to take some photoshop trickery.

Get it from here if you want it before Christmas. Use EMS and it'll be here in a week. combined with EMS shipping it'll still be slightly cheaper then BBTS depending on the exchange rate.

Mine is already on it's way from amiami. It left Japan yesterday. EMS was 6 or 7 dollars more than SAL Parcel, so I went with SAL. Last shipment I had sent SAL Parcel got here in 7 days.mooncake623 wrote:kurthy wrote:Anyone know how long it typically takes BBTS to get theirritated stock in? I feel good Devy will get here before Xmas. Might even get here by the end of this week. With shipping I paid $200.31. Mooncake is right though, if you ship EMS it will for sure get here in time to slide under the tree.

I remember a few years back when post release, the item's price goes up. As the link given by wj88 shows

, Dev's still in the Y 18000+ range. Better get him now or regret forever. Fyi, the JP version of amiami has no collector coin.

Under painted but with more features? I'd take that any day! Extra details can easily be rectified by those detail decals by Ocean/Eness I mentioned.
Scavenger too I assume has re-tooled knees?

Its just ball joints, note how far and high they bend?

NOTE: this is the SDCC version pictures which is the same sculpt.
Oh and it turns out that the Hasbro version has the ports and necessary moled detail to accomodate the individual guns when stored in vehicle mode. That means the guns were planned all along as part of the sculpt but Hasbro chose not to carry through (which is what we know is true about the elbows).

While I do not own Takara Devs so I can't say for sure (I am happy with my Hasbro version), it might be that it is tough to unhinge so it is stable in combined mode.

I loved the CW version, while the SDCC one is neat I find it a bit too cluttered with the deco and stickers.
The UW version takes everything that was good about the CW one and ramps it up a notch.
The biggest improvements for me are the purple hands and gray face. Though with some lighting the face is so dark you'd almost think it's black.
Figure is a bit tighter than the CW version (the arms aren't so loose), and the new ratchets help a bit. Gun doesn't fall out of his hands as often (or really at all yet) like the two CW versions.
Everything fits together perfectly and the elbows on Scrapper cause no issues in combined mode (in fact they're really hard to even unlock when transforming Scrapper).
The colors are perfect in Devastator mode and I wouldn't change a thing.
As for the individual robots, they're all really nice and besides the joint improvements, they're pretty even with the normal CW version. Guns are obviously a great addition. Looseness on some of the figures carries over to the UW version like it did with the CW versions.
For individual robot mode decos I prefer Scrapper (better torso details and gray face), Scavenger (completed silver paint on chest), Long Haul (he's a bit plain but black arms > purple arms), Hook (I like the silver shins), and Mixmaster (blue detailing on stomach is better then the silver). Bonecrusher on the other hand is extremely plain and boring looking. The CW one is better with the silver detailing, even though him not having it is cartoon accurate.
As far as vehicle modes I'd say they all edge out the CW versions in that regard too. Painted rims are better than not, and the other details are comparable. Long Haul seems to have suffered more than the others with the removal of some black on his vents. Mixmaster is among the ones with the most improvements due to the painting of the rear and the area where the cement comes out in the front. The added purple to Bonecrusher's sides is a plus too.
So while I could definitely see some people being happy with the CW version, as it's still a wondeful toy, every change made to the UW version (save for Bonecrusher's robot mode) is another step in the direction to making this the perfect Devastator. He just looks so awesome standing there. I can't believe how much of an improvement the gray face, purple hands, painted right foot, and purple tread areas look together. So awesome. I find myself staring at him for some time.
So if you can afford this version, it's the best version by far when combined. Your mileage may vary for the individual components when not combined though. Even still each figure has other design improvements that would make most color preferences a moot point.
Randy

Well that's just what they did and Groove is a near perfect update of the G1 character. The transformation is simple yet effective, utilizing the same leg transformation as the Aerialbots. Hopefully Hasbro releases this figure domestically for collectors on a budget.
You can check out Hasbro's representation Here. And don't forget to sound off on how you think this figure turned out. Did it do the original figure justice? Or do you prefer your Defensor to have his motorcycles turn into armor instead of an arm?

Takes place in the year 2021, ten years after Galvatron's death in the Arctic in The Headmasters cartoon.
Galvatron's soul isn't quite dead and takes possession of Cyclonus, upgrading Cyclonus's body in the process.
Unicron's remains are in the Triple Z Point, first seen in Beast Wars Neo.
Unicron still has Metroplex and Trypticon's eyes.
Unicron summons the deceased Armada Thrust, the deceased Prime Breakdown, and the long lost IDW Roller, reviving the former two and upgrading all three as well.
Starscream's ghost shows up (guess the new body Unicron gave him in season 3 didn't last, or he could have come from another point in time when he was still a ghost, we really need someone to translate this comic) and he gets upgraded too.
From a continuity standpoint, with this taking place after The Headmasters, for the pre-established JG1 timeline to still work, whatever plan that's being carried out in this comic has to ultimately fail and be undone, with Galvatron's soul needing to die and go back to the Arctic on Earth for Dark Nova to come along years later and revive him as Super Megatron.
