Takara United In-Hand Images: UN-28 Axalon, UN-30 Optimus Primal, UN-31 Beast Megatron

If I hadn't just gotten Sky Bite, I'd get Axalon. He's throwing off a very Broadside vibe. Granted he'd have to be put with Legends class figures for that to work!

I still like the idea of calling Axalon Waverider. The colours are pretty close to his pretender shell.

I like how the repaint of Thrilla Gorilla has somewhat more traditional OP colors than the original.

Barneytron is hideous, though.

Axalon and Primal are OK, but Beast Meg's just makes me want to

Axalon's color scheme is probably the best I've seen for that mold, which is actually one I deeply love. Definitely a must buy for me. The purple is bearable in alt mode, but they really should have made meg's bot version distinctive in color.

As far Primal and Dino Megs... I may just cave in and get megs since I don't own that mold. And my Cyb Primal needs someone to face off against.

At that price, you could probably score an original Beast Wars Megatron in pretty good condition.

I own neither mold (nor am I particularly interested); but pictures make the original toy look like a far superior figure.

The "Axalon" and the "Ark" two ships that were never meant to be transformers. Now all of a sudden they become characters because figures from other continuities have alt modes that slightly resemble the ships. Im sorry thats just plain dumb. Especially Unicron as an autobot ship. They could have just given him a new head mold since they are re-writing the Ark's histoty by turning him into a character. If theyre gonna start making stuff up to sell repaints, they might as well just make up a new character.

I often look at Optimus and think - wouldn't he look better if he was a surfing chimp? NOT lol

I'm getting the Broadside vibe too. That kinda makes me want him more. BW Megs isn't looking so bad either, which is saying a lot as I truly despise that mold. Still, I think I'm passing on all of these. Just no room in the budget for them with a wedding and Botcon on the horizon.

I alreayd own a BW Telemocha Primal and Megs. Still I get your point.

In any case the deluxe optimus Primal is actually a prety good figure. Very nice poseabilty, interesting transformation, and overall nice sculpting and design.

He's just not quite 50 bucks nice to own just for the paint scheme. Megs however since I don't own that particular mold with his inappropriate cyber-key gimmick of "shove it up my ass and a BFG pops out of my butt".
