| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1015933) Posted by Ravage XK on November 2nd, 2009 @ 8:45am CST
Havent we already seen the bot mode?
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1015935) Posted by Valandar on November 2nd, 2009 @ 8:54am CST We HAVE already seen the Bot mode - but not in color. This is the first we've seen of the alt mode. And they did an excellent job of fitting everything in his underbody, so while it's not perfect, it's not as bad as original Voyager TFM Starscream | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1015936) Posted by UltraPrimal on November 2nd, 2009 @ 9:00am CST We've seen back of the box images too. Which showed both the robot and jet in color, and various features. It is nice to get some more pics of the jet mode. He seems to suffer from the "I-gots-a-robot-underneath-me" syndrome that most jet transformers suffer from. It's just disguised a little better. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1015946) Posted by Hip-Hoptimus Rime on November 2nd, 2009 @ 9:09am CST I can't see the pics here at work, arg. Is the underbody robot stuff as nicely done as the ROTF Voyager? Still buyin' this sucker. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1015977) Posted by omega666 on November 2nd, 2009 @ 9:28am CST That is awesome! Makes me want to throw the crappy ROTF voyager version in the garbage. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1015978) Posted by guardianprime on November 2nd, 2009 @ 9:34am CST Not bad. expecially for movieverse screamer. personally tho ive never liked the dorritio design so there's not much chance i'll be picking him up. | |

Not quite, but what can ya do?
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1015994) Posted by rpetras on November 2nd, 2009 @ 10:14am CST This is really increasing my WANT response. I hope they do a non-tattooed (movie 1) version as well. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1015998) Posted by Convotron on November 2nd, 2009 @ 10:35am CST Nice so far. There's under kibble but it's not terrible and understandable. Hopefully the bot mode and transformation design is good. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1015999) Posted by Prankmeister on November 2nd, 2009 @ 10:40am CST I sure hope Screamer's tattoo paint doesn't suck as hard as his Voyager counterpart. I love the ROTF Voyager, but how easily his paint chips disappoints me. Classics Mirage had similar problems, but only with the 'Witwicky' logo on his feet that you really have to try to rub off. Voyager ROTF Starscream's paint started coming off through very light play, and this is a big deal for me considering that, unlike Mirage, he is quite bathed in the stuff. If this one's paint can actually sustain casual use, I might grab this one, scrub Voyager Screamer clean and call him 'Starscream's Ghost' or something, and let the real Starscream occupy the larger, better paint app'd body. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016000) Posted by Blurrz on November 2nd, 2009 @ 10:41am CST This is so freaking beautiful. Figure of the year for 2010. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016001) Posted by olokin on November 2nd, 2009 @ 10:45am CST I'd like a premium version of this one. A figure that's not badly done. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016014) Posted by hellkitty on November 2nd, 2009 @ 11:34am CST Hasbro, you horrible teases. I know I'm a pathetic Starscream fangirl (no, I can't explain it, don't ask, just accept it) who is going to buy this anyway, and would buy it even if it looked like vomit on a stick set on fire just because...but *meep*. This figure makes me want to do unnatural acts with it. HK, is it legal to marry an action figure in California? I might have to move. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016023) Posted by Varia31 on November 2nd, 2009 @ 11:48am CST Hmmm, a bit more kibble than I thought, but considering that this is a Leader, it's not that surprising. Still, ignoring the slightly large undercarriage, it's a great jet mode! | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016026) Posted by Prime Riblet on November 2nd, 2009 @ 11:51am CST This is such a freaking must-have. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016040) Posted by Mykltron on November 2nd, 2009 @ 12:25pm CST The voyager is rather skinny in bot mode from the side so it's understandable that they've had to make the jet a bit thicker cos the bot does look quite substantial. I'm just really hoping the bot has swivelling wrists cos the pics so far show him with monkey arms. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016068) Posted by Swiftknife24 on November 2nd, 2009 @ 2:04pm CST
Seconded! Maybe they should do it as a Premium version...
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016075) Posted by Doubledealer25 on November 2nd, 2009 @ 2:34pm CST OMG! he is big! cant wait to get him! i love his weapons. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016080) Posted by Ultra Magnus on November 2nd, 2009 @ 2:45pm CST Nice! | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016085) Posted by AbraxasGrey on November 2nd, 2009 @ 2:49pm CST I think its a bit 2 much kibble. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016086) Posted by Dead Metal on November 2nd, 2009 @ 2:50pm CST
Yes we have, a gray prototype, a blueish prototype and a photoshopped image. I want to know what the guy looks like in full color without photoshop.
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016094) Posted by Rated X on November 2nd, 2009 @ 3:04pm CST Looks great !!! But I hope we get a version without the tattoos. Doesnt look great in Raptor mode. Either way I will buy... | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016104) Posted by Bumblecade23 on November 2nd, 2009 @ 3:47pm CST I hope when we see his robot mode, hes compared to the other leaders which he probably will. i can't wait to put this guy to optimus and megatron! | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016106) Posted by First-Aid on November 2nd, 2009 @ 3:48pm CST GIMME GIMME GIMME! | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016117) Posted by the black convoy on November 2nd, 2009 @ 4:21pm CST
Well, they could have just copied the voyager class Starscream's transformation...
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016163) Posted by jordan683s on November 2nd, 2009 @ 7:25pm CST HELL YEAH!!!!! i knew it was a good idea to not buy the voyager size i knew that there was going to be a leader class starscream does anyone know how tall he is is he taller then megatron??? | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016166) Posted by Kibble on November 2nd, 2009 @ 7:41pm CST
They could have, but I don't know how well it would've went over. I know I sure as hell wouldn't wouldn't be buying it then. Not worth another 30-45 bucks (depending on sales) for the same fig, just about 3 inches taller.
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016176) Posted by SKYWARPED_128 on November 2nd, 2009 @ 8:16pm CST The alt mode looks kind of chunky from the side, but that's forgivable, considering all the electronics that are packed into this thing. I'm glad so see that the thrusters are now free of hands and heads! The undercarriage looks rather "busy", but not too painful to the eyes. Nice paint job, too. 80% alt mode accuracy is quite acceptable. Overall, it's a must-buy for me. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016196) Posted by Agent 007 on November 2nd, 2009 @ 10:09pm CST Looks good. While he does have some underside kibble, it's nowhere near as bad as the movie 1 voyager. I'll gladly pick him up. | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016215) Posted by Darclipto on November 2nd, 2009 @ 11:23pm CST It always makes me think "How are they gonna top this?" when I look at ROTF Prime and now Starscream. Looking at the progression from movie 1 Prime to ROTF Prime and the same for Starscream, I can't imagine how insanely complicated of a transformation TF3 figures will have. Or better yet, I can't imagine how amazingly screen accurate they will be. Or how expensive... | |
| Re: Toy Images of ROTF Leader Class Starscream (Alternate Mode) (1016267) Posted by vectorA3 on November 3rd, 2009 @ 4:28am CST Sold. I want SS right now. And MP Skywarp. Only have 3 movie toys & this will be #4. I like jets (have all the ERTL Force Ones die-cast) and this will be my first replica/toy of an F-22. Sweet. | |
