The good people at
Ozformers have posted a nice summary of what went down at the 2010 Toy Fair in Australia. From their excellent lens we get to see a handful of newly released products up close and personal. For the first time we see biographies of Huffer, Brimstone, War For Cybertron Prime and Bumblebee, as well as biographies for Power Core Combiners 5-Packs - Skyburst and Bombshock. There's also something quite interesting, a Bearbots in Disguise figure for an amalgamation called 'Hot Rod'. Check out the products below!

Wow I didnt know there was such a big fan market down under...pretty cool. I dont see too much I want this year, but Im digging that Thrust...Somebody finally realized that dollars make sense. Hopefully Dirge will follow. I like Hubcap but Brimstone looks aweful with that skull head. I might pick up the long haul repaint but forget about the black ratchet...

Not a big fan of those release dates. I wanted me some Leader Class Starscream goodness long before that. Dangit.

What is that Hot Rod Bearbrick doing to Bumblebee?

I'm pretty happy with those release dates actually. It gives me time to save up for Botcon.

Bombshock's bio amuses me. The 'elite team' almost seems like its referencing G1 a bit, where he was leader of the combat micromaster team.
That he sacrificed the team for a successful mission and got rewarded with an upgrade sounds very Decepticon-ish, too. >)

Oh yeah I would just have too much with that figure and get into alot of trouble, but it would be worth it!
I'm gonna get all the generations figures for sure. Dang those Core Combiners!

Lol I saw that "Hot Rod" at AA last year, I wanted to buy it but was broke.
Reading WFC Prime's bio kinda makes me feel like I've been Rick Rolled.
Also Bumblebee is a silent Warrior?

Has anyone noticed, are the drone limbs only able to be an arm or a leg, or can they be either?

They're designed to be either a leg or an arm, not both, unlike other combiners in TF's past. Each one is stuck as is.
Which is part of the reason why I'm sorely unimpressed with these.

Er...haven't you bought any of the newer figures lately? All of their bubbles have tabs that fold over the card backing. It's not always a solid lock, but it holds them closed for display, rather nicely.
I realize that Japanese packaging tends to be different than our's, but the same results can be had.
I doubt Hasbro will go the Takara route when it comes to packaging.
