We've had a lot of recent news surrounding the set. Some sly individual is snapping some great shots that are sure to get fans talking about who might be added as new characters and what the plot is...
So here's another rumor. We know the Decepticons may be adding another of their commanders to the lineup in some fashion, will the Autobots be doing the same?

Somebody tell me what are the chances of THAT car just happening to turn up on or near a the TF2 set? Coincidence? I highly doubt it. It has to be Prowl. BUT on the other had...its far too similar to how Prowl looked in G1, not matching the theme of TF1.

It does look like Prowl. But it is too early to say whether it is him or not. It is very hard to determine what the symbol is by the front fender.

It looks too plain and toyish. I think it's just one of Bay's tricks. He did say that there would be fake scripts, robot designs, etc. leaked out. Sucker is sitting in plain sight

Not quite a dead-on look to the Binaltech toy. 4 door vs. 2 door car. Plus those are Chinese letterings instead of Japanese and too much white and not enough black for it be the BT toy.

Because they are making part of a the movie in a chinatown type setting that is being created at this PA steelmill. Whether it is actually in China is anyone's guess, but I think the Chinese characters on the car lean more toward it being an actual Chinese city.

Its NOT Prowl...this is a base model 4cyl Malibu. Do you honestly think for a second GM/Chevrolet would have the base model become a Transformer? That's like making Ironhide a Sierra base worktruck. I've got to say, I', buying into the binaltech reference idea. It really wouldn't make sense to me, that after all the effort Bay has gone through to distance himself from the G1 designs, that he's sell out like this on the sequel. If I had to make a bet, I'd say that they either use this in the scene where they intro Prowl (who I personally bet on being a police bike) or in some scene with a returned Barricade. Certainly not anything so unorginal as a straight homage. It'd just look stupid if Prowl was the only G1 Centric Autobot....The design aesthetic is completely.

You know, whether that turns out to be Prowl (which would make me insanely happy, even if he is just a Malibu..) or kind of a "kudo" to Prowl's alt-mode, it would still be awesome

As much as I want Prowl in TF2 he should be a better more muscular/badass car but thats still a very nice car just needs to have a little aftermarket added to it

Every car in the TF line that looked like that has been Prowl but it could also be Barricade. He may have changed his look.

Why would they not use a Buick (still a GM product) for Chinese car??? Note to Bay and Associates: the Chinese love Buicks and with may kick ass, Chinese Buick concepts to choose from, it would fit the "China" theme a lot better than the Chevy Malibu. It's a nit pick but the devil is in the details. The Chevy looks OK but is a bit bland.

Whoever that is, if it is truly Prowl, they either got that vehicle from the New York Police department, who uses Chevy Malibu cars or got it from a dealership. They then painted it that way.

YES, if that idiot Bay was to put a GT-R transformer in TF2 I'd be willing to say in public that I thought he was a skilled film maker.

oh ok....the last time that I visited NYC, I believe that they had Malibu. But I will take your word for it and I guess that I am mistaken.

Could be Prowl... but then again, lots of people freaked out over spy photos from the first film, when people saw a crane and thought it was a Constructicon...
... and it turned out to be... you know... a crane.
I mean, they are filming in a fictional Chinese city. You'd think with all the giant robots blowing stuff up, the Chinese police might just make an appearance.

It would be nice if it was Prowl. Really, if you think about the classic 1984 G1 Autobots you could make a case that Prowl was the most important one of those characters who didn't make the first movie.
I do hope it is Prowl, for no other reason than it would make Cascadia do backflips of joy in the middle of the movie theater.
