Transformers #3 on Sales Chart, thanks to Blu Ray

A year after it's initial DVD and HD-DVD release, the 2007 Live Action Transformers Movie has ended up at #3 on the Sales charts for the week ending September 7th, according to website HomeMediaMagazine.com.

This jump back into the pointy end of the sales charts is thanks to a huge amount of Blu Ray sales, amounting with the Blu Ray version topping the Blu Ray sales charts. It's next best competitor "A Nightmare Before Christmas" only managed to amass 13% of the sales that Transformers generated.

Overall, Transformers was only beaten by the release of Season 4 of "The Office", and the direct to DVD release of "The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning".
