| Re: Transformers Continuum 5-Page Preview (1017952) Posted by Dead Metal on November 7th, 2009 @ 2:10pm CST Why do this idw? You rebooted and retconed half of that and even thought of removing Megatron Origins from continuity so why recap this for the new series that will most likely have little to nothing to do with all of this? | |
| Re: Transformers Continuum 5-Page Preview (1017959) Posted by Starscream6 on November 7th, 2009 @ 2:22pm CST i like they are making the effort to tie it all in and explain it all in brief detail in a separate book. this more importantly will help anyone who hasnt been reading everything up till the new series w/o buying up everything before it. way to go IDW! | |
| Re: Transformers Continuum 5-Page Preview (1017968) Posted by Starfield on November 7th, 2009 @ 2:58pm CST Megatron: Origin is a legend now. Interesting. | |
| Re: Transformers Continuum 5-Page Preview (1018020) Posted by Optimutt on November 7th, 2009 @ 8:28pm CST Forgive me, but the scripting in that is just plain awful! I sincerely hope Furman wasn't the one asked to put out this piss-poor excuse of a legend. I would be sorely embarrassed for him. On a more positive note, it is nice to see IDW trying to connect the dots that is their TF-Verse. Even if the writing did come from an 8th Grader. | |

If you own IDW's current output, I would suggest you save your money. I doubt new artwork is going to be featured in this.
| Re: Transformers Continuum 5-Page Preview (1018173) Posted by autobot-jolt on November 8th, 2009 @ 12:37pm CST I haven't been able to read any of the other ongoing comic series, so I'll pick this up. It looks cool. | |

| Re: Transformers Continuum 5-Page Preview (1019266) Posted by ponycorn on November 11th, 2009 @ 9:02pm CST I don't exactly remember the Seekers being "noble" in Megs origins. They were his hitmen, his thugs, and that was AFTER he already had established dominancy in the arena. Still getting this though, despite the shaky storytelling, it should serve as a quick refresh on what happened so far and also put what the new ongoing series will acknowledge as cannon laid out on table to reduce our thumbing through back issues and scratching our heads. | |
| Re: Transformers Continuum 5-Page Preview (1019385) Posted by Counterpunch on November 12th, 2009 @ 9:13am CST IDW can't keep its own story straight anymore. You know IDW...you have other titles, but Transformers is really what you have. Perhaps you should take better care of your title that you know...people care about? | |

Exactly what he said. So sad it should come to this. CODA To cover the link between Simon and Shanes work and now a book to link all three writers. They should have killed this series long ago. I am not purchasing this. I find myself wanting a different publisher other than IDW to give the Transformers franchise a go.

| Re: Transformers Continuum 5-Page Preview (1020342) Posted by First Gen on November 15th, 2009 @ 6:55pm CST Okay so I bought this and read it. I only read about half of the stories involved but knowing what I know for fact, alot of the statements of the book are wrong. No. they didn't fight Thunderwing on Nebulos, it was Cybertron. Who are the "they" that Wheelie found in his Spotlight and didn't he get taken out be a radiation cloud, not Decepticons? The Continuum was wrong. Man that really irks me. | |
| Re: Transformers Continuum 5-Page Preview (1020425) Posted by Hairball178 on November 15th, 2009 @ 11:11pm CST The pages were out of order too; it made it disjointing as hell to read. | |
| Re: Transformers Continuum 5-Page Preview (1020808) Posted by MYoung23 on November 18th, 2009 @ 11:05pm CST
Thunderwing on Nebulos was confronted by a Decepticon Infiltration team in Stormbringer #3. Wheelie's ship was taken out by a radiation cloud. He ran into Spectro, Spyglass and a dead Viewfinder on the planet.

Thanks for the clarification on that. I read the Continuum again just to make sure I was reading it right. Overall it does give you the basics of EVERYTHING thats happened over the last 3 years and thats alot of ground to cover in 30 pages. Its a great piece for newcomers to get their hands on so they know where the story is so far.
