Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Amazon Exclusive Bruticus Giftset

I prefer the more muted SDCC colors.

I'm glad they are giving us a fairly easy way to get all of them. I'd hate to have to buy them in store and not be able to find one. Hopefully the gift sets don't cost too much compared to the individual figures.

I'll get it, if the price is right.

Yep, as far as I know anyway.

If they're packaging them individually, then I will DEFINITELY get either this giftset or the SDCC one. I have a feeling it won't be easy to walk into a Walmart or TRU and find all five figures in stock, and I don't want to have to hunt all over town or keeping going back to the stores over and over. How much you wanna bet Onslaught will be hard to find? The scalpers will probably swoop into the stores and buy all the Onslaughts so that everyone has to come to them to complete the set.

I actually don't care which version I get because I'm gonna repaint them anyway.

Well, that pretty much guarantees it'll be nearly impossible to find them all at retail, since most stores will stock too many of the first wave and never stock the final wave at all.

They way it is written up makes it seem like the "bright colors" version of Bruty is exclusive to Amazon. I don't know if that's the case. But I don't want to get my hopes up, since the SDCC one looks way better, and I think the retail ones look like they should have been in my collection in 95 when , in my room, I had blacklight posters of gnomes sleeping under a mushroom, blue hooded grim reapers, and sexy devil lady's. Then and only then, would "disco" bruticus have worked for me.

if we find one being rarer than the others (ignoring obvious Hasbro case-assortment stupidity) I'd say it would be Swindle. He has his own fans outside of folks who like Bruticus or the Combaticons. Probably because he is the one member of the team to have a personality and to have that personality spotlighted in various media.

i was hoping this was going to be a store exclusive, now with shipping im sure this wont be any cheaper than buying them individually. This should be a walmart exclusive, not only do they stock their exclusives but they price them well too.

looks like a good alternative if i cant get my hands on the SDCC set.
i really dont want to hunt down the single packs unless something amazing happens as i know there will be that 1 i cant get my hands on

I wonder if this means they might have a different color scheme, or if this is confirmed to be it. I would love it if they realized the regular release should be less bright, but I doubt it.

I also wonder if it's a possibility that this box set may make it to Canadian TRUs, since that's what happened with Amazon Unicron.

I almost don't mind the colors. Vortex is the only one that looks totally off. The others are close enough to their usual color schemes. I actually prefer the purple Blast Off here to that gold version.

I'll take my chances at standard retail if it means not putting up with that color scheme. That is worse than some of the mash-ups we got during the Beast Wars line. Better than G2 colors for sure but it's certainly not would I would expect for an exclusive gift-set. There are enough TRU's, Targets and Wally Worlds near me that I can afford to take my chances with availability.

Individual figures are definitely getting released. The only thing exclusive here is the fact that they come in a giftset. Colors should be the same.

Until I see preorders/case breakdowns for individually carded Combaticons I'm going to work to the assumption that the SDCC and Amazon sets will be our only shots at these. When wave 2 preorders go up and it's all Magnus, 'Swipe and Kickback (or whatever combination of figs) expect the panic to start.
