Transformers Masterpiece MP-04 re-release in October 2009

Seibertron.com member Real Devastator has just posted new information regarding the Transformers Masterpiece figure line.
According to Japanese hobby shop Digitami, the Optimus Prime/ Convoy MP-04, with trailer, will see another production release sometime in October of 2009. With a price point of 18,900 yen, roughly $200.00 USD, it doesn't look like the value of the figure has gone down at all since its first run.

Hmmm, My 20th anniversary Prime is showing his age, and a few good bumps and scrapes. Maybe I'll get this one.

I'm still undecided if I want MP-1 or MP-4 with the trailer. The main issue being Quality Control. Will it be bad like last time?

I got MP4 during its previous re-release and noticed no QC problems. I kept MP Prime in his box and display the trailer with 20th Anniversary Prime instead as he had already been out for a couple of years.

My mp4 trailer is doing ok too, not much of QC problem. Maybe just a few isolated cases that the trailer a bit unsatisfactory

Very cool. I've been meaning to get one. but the Prices just put me off.
With as new release comes a new lower and more accessible price. Juding from the page and converting from Yen to USD: $199 much better than the 240 being asked at BBTS for an opened MP-01. or the close to 300 for the MP-04 a while back.
Hopefully I'll be able to get one this time around..

Depends on what you are referring to.
For the main Prime/truck Mold, its the 6th time its released in some form I believe. I could be wrong. MP-01, Mp-02: Ultra Magnus, Mp-04(This set a few years ago), Hasbro's 20th Anniversary Prime. (red paint and Black gun), Hasbro's 20th Anniversary DVD edition Prime(blue gun, and a more Orange paint).
For this particular Set, only the second time.
The Prime + trailer set was only released once by Takara.
Hasbro has yet to have a similar release in the west.
Their releases have only been the Truck/Prime portion. In Prime colors.

I don't own MP-04, but I heard there are serius quality control issues with him, much worse than MP-01. Well, let's just wait and see the result this time...

So then the 3rd release if you count the original release in there. I would be happier if they released Grimlock in all his Diaclone goodness! Anyone else noticed that E-hobby has not released anything much since the Omega or Encore repaints? Hope the Encore line gets ramped up again with some new releases after the movie.

Hopefully, other fans'll buy this just to get a trailer to go with their existing MP Primes. Then there'll be a cheap 2nd-hand Prime for me to buy

If you are counting how many times Takara has issued the MP Prime mold in Prime colors, this would be the third time yes.
However this is the second time we get the set with the Official Takara Trailer. As opposed to the couple of other third party trailers for him that are floating around.
