We just received an update on the return of the Transformers Prime First Edition line and the BigBadToyStore Transformers Prime Dark Energon line from our friends at Hasbro. See details below:

At Comic-Con, the Transformers team announced that the Transformers Prime First Edition action figure line would be made available at Toys R Us. Hmm, they didn't say what date the 1st Ed. would become available though. (From what was in the article, it sounds like Sept 1 is the date for Dark Energon stuff only) The suspense!

wouldn't mind a FE Bulkhead. Some of the Dark Energon repaints are pretty cool, but not sure I'm totally digging the translucency. Were Slicer solid colours I'd be getting him for sure. Suppose it works pretty nicely for Skywarp at least.

Nice, looking forward to picking up a Vehicon. Hopefully they get released in Canada, but even if not it'll still be cheaper than the Takara one.

Im sure they'll be extremely overpriced, gonna say $25 for a deluxe & $50 for a voyager. I would like to pick up an Arcee but not paying an arm and a leg for one, my collection will be just fine with out one.

I don't understand the distribution of the Prime line at all. I've never seen any of the PRiD figures other then at some Walmarts and now the stopped putting them out because of the Cybertron line filling the racks. I already have all of these figures because hasbro led us to believe the states weren't getting them, especially a terrorcon CJ, I thought that was a Takara exclusive. I hate Hasbro, release the figures on a normal schedule.

Started collecting TF prime a little late, but I am only missing a few for my collection. I am glad I haven't opened anything yet after reading this lovely tidbit. I've got RID Optimus and Bulkhead, so I may take them back to Target in order to get the FE ones. They are really the only RID I have that I want to take back. Am desparately wanting RID Vehicon, but may settle for FE. So, November is roughly when FE will hit TRU?

Maybe they (Has/Tak) modified the original FE's head mold to make it 'zombified' so now the original version doesn't exist any more?
It is odd that they're releasing that one at retail though, since it was an SDCC exclusive and all. Maybe it will only have the head but not the dark energon 'damage' etc. on the body (which would be boooring in my opinion).

And it looks like the body does have the dark energon damage from what I can tell from the pic posted. Ya, definitely would be boring without the body damage. It'd be cool to add some of your own damage to the figure like melted plastic pieces here and there.

I want one just because I didn't get the SDCC version (got the Takara one though, but he stays in glorious clear purple car mode). I have the Takara FE version as well as the Hasbro FE version (different shades of red, who knew?), so I don't need another one of that, but I can certainly understand why those who missed the boat on the original FE run would want that instead of ZombieJumper. Still, it works out well for me if he's the same as the one that SDCC got.

Apparently they took a survey and Zombiejumper won out overwhelmingly over regular Cliffjumper and Bumblebee.
As for differences from the SDCC Terrorcon Cliffjumper, I believe the retail one doesn't have the cracked window or some of the extra paint details. And of course no Dark Energon shards.

That sucks about the differences. Glad about the cracked window though, might as well have a real crack going through rather than a fake looking painted one on, which I can figure out myself. Actually, I could probably figure out some purple paint damage on my own. Maybe I'll buy 2 to have one to see how zombie'ed I can make it.
