Transformers Universe website launches
Leading independent games studio Jagex today announced the launch of its all new Transformers Universe website in preparation for the next stage of the free-to-play MMO’s release.
As well as featuring an entire redesign, the addition of forums and a news feed for all things Transformers Universe, the website will be the new and improved hub for the game’s BETA when it goes live in early 2013.
Tim Hodges, Transformers Universe Brand Director commented “We are delighted to be entering the next phase of our launch plans for Transformers Universe and we hope that players enjoy using this new hub for all the latest Transformer Universe news and information. We’re getting closer to unleashing Transformers Universe into browsers so stay tuned for more information and be sure to visit the site and sign up for BETA today”

That's good, thought I was going a bit crazy. It's weird though, I know there's a disclosure agreement, but I thought we'd hear from someone!

The thing is, I dont play video games. So I probally passed any stories on this thinking it was related to WFC/FOC. There was a point where every day we were getting a new image of Bruticus or Metroplex and I stopped reading stories about games.

Seibertron member dedcat dropped by to let us know the Transformers: Universe MMO Beta testing is still moving along. Those who were lucky enough to be chosen for the Beta test are receiving emails with a link to a survey regarding computer specs and a few images. See the email and images below.
Commander, action is required of you. To take your next step towards the closed BETA program, we need some additional information. Please click on the link below to complete a brief survey and provide some information about your computers specifications.
This information is vital for BETA access; only those participating in the BETA survey will be able to participate in the closed BETA program. This data will only be used by the Transformers team and will not be shared with any third parties.

I'll still happily try out the beta, but the fact that it's a League of Legends clone and not an MMORPG irritates me. Maybe I'll feel less bitter about it once I've tried it, still, was looking forward to making my own character.

No more character creation. Instead you use characters made by Jagex. Select from a list of preset characters, and earn points to unlock new characters. Like they do in League of Legends (which is a sh*t game).

Well, Jagex did turn RuneScape (was such a great game until this year) into a World of Warcraft clone with that Evolution of Combat crap. I haven't played since then mainly because of that (the other part is the fact I don't have a computer that doesn't support playing it anymore).

is the Beta testing closed? I tried to sign in and it gave me an error message that said that my account is blocked from participating. :/
