Firstly, they found a series of Siege reissues all said to be exclusives. Those include Chromia, Hound, Mirage, Sideswipe and Refraktor. We do not know if any of these reissues will be released anywhere else. There was also a listing for an "unboxing" exclusive in the War for Cybertron line.
The biggest piece of news though are two listings that are part of an exclusive War for Cybertron subline called Battlefield. The two characters part of this subline are Megatron and Hotlink. For those not familiar with Hotlink, he is a purple seeker.

...but not Sunstorm?!
Some day, my dear creamsicle seekerman... some day.

Hotlink probably got ahead of Sunstorm and Bitstream in line because his being purple makes him more distinct from the other Seekers released thus far.

Though, Mirage is now a Decepticon, and Megatron is also shiny.

Sideswipe, Hound, and Chromia should be axed, because Hasbro could achieve basically the same result by just sending retailers stickers to amend the figures still on shelves.
They should be doing Detritus instead of Hound, Tigertrack, Clamp Down, or Deep Cover instead of Sideswipe, and a reissue of Greenlight instead of Chromia.
Megatron is less interesting than the color-corrected Lionizer he comes with. Although if he's shiny now that might be something.
Scrapface looks nice, but he should be held back in favor of a straight reissue of Refraktor.

Why would they make figures of characters not on the Netflix show?
There is a reason that these characters are being made and why Scrapface and Decepticon Mirage is a thing.

Also Decepticon Mirage ? ?
Posted by Deadput on February 22nd, 2020 @ 12:54am CST
Scrapface by their colors seems to be an Autobot but I see no faction symbol so they could be a very colorful Decepticon.

Presumably a new character. Or maybe he's Jolt. Or maybe it's a Cybertron Sky Shadow situation.Albatross250 wrote:They just revealed the contents and images, have you guys seen it?

Considering that we got the name Scrapface for the Reflector repaint I'm pretty sure Decepticon Mirage is the actual name, at least that's what other sites are calling him.

Who says they didn't think of it?
There are several Hasbro concepts and alternate tooled heads that don't make the cut in toy development.
Plus like you said that would be a retool and not a repaint which would require more money to make, so ultimately it's about priorities and Slapdash probably wasn't a priority higher then anything else they would of had planned.
Also about TLK Nitro Zeus into Needlenose? It won't happen, Hasbro isn't allowed to make generation toys out of movie molds and there is no Needlenose in the movies so he wouldn't be a Studio Series toy either.
Posted by ZeldaTheSwordsman on February 22nd, 2020 @ 2:04am CST
I don't know. While Slapdash/Road King does have something similar going on with the arms, he's not a perfect match. Especially not with how the legs work and look. As far as "Closest thing we've got" redeco matches go, Mirage into Slapdash/Road King isn't quite on the level of Ironhide into Crosshairs.Aimless Misfire wrote:Why won't Hasbro retool Mirage into Slapdash? Frankly, I think Crasher AKA Fracture (because of precedent), and changing the blue to red, are more obvious things for Mirage.

Nobody. I'm just asking.

What about Studio Series Thundercracker? Which movie was he in?

Aimless Misfire wrote:What about Studio Series Thundercracker? Which movie was he in?
Thundercracker was an exception and is still a "movie character" being a representative of the invading Deceptions from the Moon in Dark of the Moon and not a version of the G1 character which I thought was what you would be looking for in a Needlenose figure.
The only reason Thundercracker exists was to be a toy exclusive in a deal with Toys R Us, this so happen to be right before Toys R Us went down and all, with that happening the figure was picked up for other places.
He wouldn't have been made as a standard retail figure at all and only exists because of a deal with a toy store, if Needlenose was the character instead he would probably have a head just as monstrous as the one Thundercracker had.
Thundercracker was probably chosen because he's the second biggest jet Decepticon in the franchise, so if they were going to make an off screen character they probably were going to use a big name to sell it.

As for hound and sideswipe (tho sideswipe decos noticeable) getting restocked for a third time especially with sideswipe just being restocked in the spinnister wave seems bizarre.
Mirage is something different but I'll pass with the alt mode being terrible and wait to see if earthrise gets an update and fracture.
Refraktor new color scheme looks nice so I'll pick him up. Would be nice if he came with toy reflectors add ons but unlikely. *would be awesome if there is a selects release in armada laserbeak colors would kill two birds with one g2esque color scheme
Megatron, not sure on. Really makes earthrise one even more of a miss.
Hot link, only if hasbro/amazon delivers on skywarp.
Chromia, looks better but still prefer tak legends.
Ultramagnus box thing... Could be very interested despite the price.
Last and final edit* these seem an awesome nod/throwback to the foxkids variants of the beast wars figures.
Suppose we better go talk about these in a war for cybertron netflix post before a grumpy Bur... Mod shows up :p

Speaking as a Mirage owner, I think the only terrible thing about the altmode is the potential for the Autobot sigil halves on the nose to be misaligned.blackeyedprime wrote:Mirage is something different but I'll pass with the alt mode being terrible and wait to see if earthrise gets an update and fracture.

Sadly I own the exclusive one to get the power dasher and it hasn't changed my mind on its alt mode from thinking it looked bad at Tokyo toy fair. I'd hoped removing the arms in alt mode would improve it but it just makes it look like a toddlers toy. Robot modes really nice.

Hound looks pretty, but is a pass for me, same with Chromia.
Scrapface is interesting, but not sure i need a 4th Reflector mold character.
Decepticon Mirage is interesting, but I already have 2 versions, I don't really need that mirage.
Megatron makes me happy and frustrated a bit, seeing as how he is now silver and looking really nice, and he comes with a proper colored Lionizer. And the battle damage is much better. I only ever got his G2 Selects toy and really don't want another of the mold, but he looks so good and Lionizer.
Hot Link is interesting, i was thinking they would end up using the Earthrise mold, but this is a surprise. Here's hoping they keep going and give us the rest of the seekers!
That Box with the contents not revealed is interesting, what does the Cybertronian on the box say? I've heard something about Rung and Dark Energon Magnus and Shattered Glass Prime in that?
Either way, cool stuff here

I do hope these will all be featured in the show, but i also hope these will not be all that feature in the show. Prime Wars Trilogy cast was too small (And they almost all died).

Scrapface looks like a nice generic. Not much else to say.
The battle damaged redecos, eh. Hound I might get but it doesn't work so well on Sideswipe or Chromia. Megatron looks proper nice with shiny silver paint, a shame the mold is kinda meh and I'm planning on going for the Maketoys Rioter Despotron.
Ultra Magnus I have heard rumours comes with a new mold Nautica, which would be a relief given how much of a disappointment TR Nautica was.

If that Magnus comes with a Nautica, then I'm probably going to get it despite already having Magnus. Worst case scenario, I just move the which every has more battle damage to my Siege shelf and keep whichever is cleaner on my standard shelf

These reveals have some interesting decos but feel like, too little too late. Will Earthrise repeat this redeco'ing once it's show hits the air after the part 3's toys are already on shelves?
If these hit brick and mortar quick enough we may see all 3 Siege Megatron decos on the shelf all at once.

It most certainly could, anything can always be worse, there is no bottom barrel marker for the measure of terrible quality, it could go down and down and down to levels we might never seen before.ZeroWolf wrote:Hmm I don't Know, the dragon Prince is quite good, as is Voltron. The Netflix show could be great but it could also be more of the same in quality.

1. Given that Sideswipe, Hound, and to a lesser extent Chromia are shelfwarming right now (at one of my Targets, the shelves were choked with Sideswipes and Hounds), all three of them are poor choices IMO.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Wow, those renders look pretty sweet!

2. Scrapface looks nice, and I want him, but at the same time I would also like to actually see regular Reflector on the shelves in my area before a redeco shows up.
3. I like that Decepticon redeco of Mirage. I like the SIEGE Mirage mold, and I wouldn't mind adding another character to my Decepticon ranks.
4. Megatron... It's a shame they couldn't have made him silver like that in the first place. I'm pretty sure if they had, he wouldn't be warming pegs. I do like the color-corrected Lionizer, moreso than whoever the Targetmaster with him is. Because given that the SIEGE Targetmasters are poor man's versions of the Legends Targetmaster molds - which themselves are all wrong - it's no doubt an inaccurate mess.
5. Honestly, it makes sense that they used the SIEGE mold for Hotlink considering where he appeared. I do hope the finished product is somewhat less dingy.

With Walmart the plan is usually to sell them at retail but sometimes things come in too late or they no longer care so often some of their exclusives end up online only.

Those weren't made by Netflix, though. Netflix doesn't make shows, they just air them. Other companies make them. Dreamworks made Voltron and makes She-Ra, Wonderstorm makes The Dragon Prince, and RoosterTeeth is making the WFC cartoon.ZeroWolf wrote:Hmm I don't Know, the dragon Prince is quite good, as is Voltron. It does look good. The problem is that with how many regular Sideswipes are still on the shelves, he's not exactly the best pick. Same for Hound. I hope they change the character choices before production really gets going. I'd love to see them do Detritus and Tigertrack instead.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:carytheone wrote:Just four?
