Amazon Japan has updated their Transformers United listing with Official images of: Scourge, Wheeljack, G2 Optimus Prime, and Frenzy & Rumble. We've seen Frenzy & Rumble before, but these are our first looks at Scourge, Wheeljack, and G2 Optimus Prime in their Takara decos. All three reveal noticeable differences from their Hasbro counterparts.
Wheeljack features metallic green paint, a different stripe pattern, and additional paint applications on the sides of his car mode.
Scourge also features a shinier metallic blue paint job, his Decepticon symbol has moved from his shoulder to the middle of his chest, full wing stripes in alt mode, and several other alternative paint applications.
G2 Optimus Prime has swapped his blue for a more consistent black in alt mode, he now sports Autobot symbols on his doors in truck mode, his orange translucent plastics have been changed to blue, as well several other small paint application differences.
The images have been mirrored below.

But I'll be using Generations Scourge as Scourge and 3x Titanium Scourge for the sweeps, since I already have them.
I could not possibly care less about the G2 Prime, certainly not enough to spend import dollars on him. I have generations G2 Prime in my Pile-O-loot solely because he came in the group with the rest of the wave.
I'll find something to do with him and I hear he is a very nice figure, so I may be pleasantly surprised.

I don't think the metallic paint does much for Scourge either.

Precisely!!! I had Hasbro's version of G2 Prime in my hot little hands today and I put it back on the display because their version with the blue/black cab looks...like...CRAP!! Passed on Tracks as well today because of that ugly excuse for a flame job on his hood. In fact, after seeing pictures of the United figures and then getting the Hasbro versions in hand, I've left every single one on the shelf and walked out of the store empty handed. After 5 minutes of mental debating I even put Perceptor back. I'll get Thundercracker and Kup regardless but that's probably it. United has just ruined it for me. Makes Hasbro's attempts look beyond cheap. Yeah, I know that United would cost me a ton more but I'll go without rather than settle for half-ass stuff.

I'm also glad it's not a Reveal the Shield figure with a stupid rubsign on it!

But most of these there isn't really enough difference to make me want to import instead. Except maybe to pick up Scourge, and use the US version for a couple of Sweeps, but that's hardly a new idea.

Did anyone else notice how you have to rotate Wheeljack's wheels down into his heel in robot mode? Talk about a serious retool! Both versions look great!

OP looks much better with clear blue windows and a metal grill, but I still don't like him enough to buy him--pass.

As someone who has whinged about the half painted blue leading edge of Generations Scourge, I have to say I'm rather disappointed with the look of the fully painted wings. That's what I'd be saying if I was the Shattered Glass version of myself. It looks pretty good and I'm thrilled that Takara has listened to us. Also, RED EYES!!! Excellent! United wins for Scourge, but Generations wins overall for all of it's Scourges I'm going to buy for Sweeps.
Wheeljack. Hmm... It seems everyone else prefers Hasbro's green and I agree with that. But I don't like the fluorescent red and the fact it's all over his chest. The preferred red and paint scheme on Takara's, coupled with the inevitably crisper white plastic means another win for United.

Darn...
If it's any help, the yellow is inspired by Movie Prime, while the blue is closer to the original G2.

I like how the hasbro version has it like the G1 toy. You know what really grinds my gears??? The guy that said he had Perceptor and G2 Prime in his hands but put them back on the shelf!!!!!! Those figures haven't been spotted in the Detroit area yet. I'm hoping they will be spotted soon.
The centered chest symbol on Scourge is accurate to the cartoon. I think it makes a good differentiation for the leader of the pack.

Huh, didn't realize that. Scourge was one of my favorite toys back in the day, so it sticks in my mind. Oh to go back in time and stop my early teen self from selling all of my transformers at a yard sale.....

Rumble and Frenzy look great, however I'd have prefered them be cassets to go with Classics/Universe Soundwave.

OP: Pass, I have the original, and even if I wanted this mold, orange is origin-accurate.
Wheeljack: YES.
Frenzy (as in RED): No thank you.
Rumble (BLUE): Nope.
