I. Like. This.

It's just a repainted Silverbolt head, but it's close enough to Darkwing that it's more an observation than a complaint.

Now I'm glad to have Universe Dreadwind...this repaint is awesome!

Yes - this is a repaint that I can get behind. I wonder when it will come out? Should we expect to see an Onslaught repaint to keep this figure company in the cases? Any thoughts on who Onslaught could be repainted into?

They could probably find another military themed former Micromaster to repaint Onslaught as to go with Dropshot and Stormcloud.

Wow he looks amazing for a straight repaint. He's a perfect homage to the original toy to boot. I'm considering trying to get Botcon Dreadwind even though my Silverbolt towers over my Jetfire.

I've been thinking if they would remold Onslaughts head for Prime, he would make a great body for War Within Prime. Just a thought.

I'd actually like to see a G2 inspired Onslaught.

I had no interest at all in Silverbolt, But I really want to buy Darkwing. Amazing what a repaint can do to a mold.

Amazing or not, I thought the same about Powerglide/Stormcloud and now my Classics 'Cons have another flyer while my 'Bots don't. But I like Silverbolt, so at first I said, "Hell no!" like most repaints, but now I say, "Well, maybe." Looks kinda good.

Already have Dreadwind from the GoD set, most likely pass on this one. Looks nice though.

yeah they could repaint Onslaught as Hardhead, doesnt he look alot like his ATV mode in the IDW comics after all? And repaint Powerglide as Tailwind, except dont do a crappy job of it actually make it a nice blend of blue, black and grey instead of straight blue so he looks bland

Hmm.. while I'd love to bolster my Decepticon ranks, I think he's just going to look to similar to Silverbolt to justify.

As a kid, I had Dreadwind, but never managed to get Darkwing. Apparently Universe is trying to put me in the exact reverse situation. I feel an ebay purchase of BotCon Dreadwind coming on.

Too bad they didn't give him a real visor. But if Darkwing can hook up with Dreadwind - I'm sold.

Pretty damn nice repaint. Could easily be tempted by this one.

As for a repaint of Onslaught, a Flak would be really nice to go with Overload.

I couldn't see the 2nd image, but the first looks good...
I wish there was a different color used for the visor.
Something to make it "pop" like that red would've been awesome.

Not a bad resemblence, considering how they messed up homages to Powerglide, Dropshot, Overload and Crushbull by getting the colors all wrong.

I'm on board. I really like this repaint in the figure is absolutely awesome! Yes, it is.

I am quite surprised on how well this works as a repaint! My hand is now forced to hand over the rediculous amount for the 07 botcon set. Yeah right and maybe monkeys will fly out of my butt!

He'll look great next to my BotCon Dreadwind.

Anyway, I can see myself caving when I see him at retail and hoping someone makes a custom upgrade set with a new head and weapon.

I love all of the later era G1 homages we've been getting the last couple of years. Personally, I've been getting a little burned out on homages of the 84 and 85 lines. It's nice to see Targetmaster Cyclonus, Dreadwind, Darkwing and some Micromasters getting some love lately. I think this is a perfect repaint. It makes me want to get my Dreadwind and Darkwing galleries back up on the site (they've been missing since the site crash in September). Kudos to the designers for this one

i love hardhead, and i think an onslaught repaint would be cool. Dont remember Darkwing, but having seen some of the pics its a damn good figure, however its just too similar to silverbolt for me, they should and couldve chagned the gun and head at least

i think hardhead would be kool but they'd have to remold the head, a go one step further and turn him into a head master

as for this, its pretty kool actaully
a little more red would be nice, then again some red would be nice
i havn;t picked up silverbolt yet so darkwing will prob be first, now i just need his botcon parter GRR

Here's an idea for making Dreadwing. I think it looks pretty awesome from the top, though the other angles suck a bit.





And no, Blitzwing is not being a dirty Decepticon, he's just helping hold Silverbolt in place.

So maybe some third party groups like the guys who did City Commander or Cliffjumper could do a Darkwing upgrade with new head and weapon and some way of getting him to attach to Dreadwind.

I haven't opened my Silverbolt yet so I don't know if I like his toys at all but I will say I love the paint scheme. Perfect for some new Decepticons. I love it.

I do have to agree with the other comments made earier about having a new head and gun. Darkwing needs his twin guns and a visor! Funny thing though is that Jetfires gun is almost a perfect match besides being a little undersized. I would like to see Fansproject or whoever to come out with an upgrade. It was funny too because just last week I was telling myself there was no way Silverbolt could be repainted. Oh and after looking at hardhead it seems almost garanteed that Onslaught will be repainted as him, but would definatly need a remolded head. Botcon maybe???

LOOKS NICE BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE CHANGED THE HEAD AND LEFT OUT THE YELLOW ON THE WINGS IN JET MODE. OTHER THAN THAT ITS PRETTY DOPE !!!

best not be a botcon. I love the guy but i can never justify the prices the botcon things go for. As for jetfires gun, i have the two standing next to each other and with a slight adjustment that might just work

Very nice. Speaking of Hardhead, I saw a nice digibash of Silverbolt as Brainstorm on another site recently. If they want to use this mold again, they should definitely go with that.

Personally, rather then Onslaught for Hardhead, I'd be more inclined to use Movie Wreckage or Classics 2-pack Megatron for Hardhead though I wouldn't mind Wreckage for Bludgeon.

In fact keeping with the Headmasters, yesterday I thought Energon Ultra Magnus might make an interesting Fortress Maximus or remold Movie Incinerator's head and give us Earthmode Highbrow.

Again, it's nice to see later G1 TF's getting homaged.

A few I'd love to see, yes I'm going to say it, include Energon Divebomb as Banzai-tron

Armada Skywarp as Skyfall

Classics Gun Megatron as Treadshot

Clocker as Hot Rod

and if the mold were still available, G2 Jetstorm as Joyride though the Euro version is similar in colour already and an Autobot.

Finally, I second Powerglide being repainted as Tailwind since according to the Cybertronian Guidebooks, the originals were meant to be the same type of plane.

Plus, Tailwind always reminded me of the Cobra Rattler so he'd go well with Energon Snowcat.

Once again, really like Darkwing. Looks like I'll be getting the Dukes of Depression at some stage.

Now, I love the color schemes for this guy, and now i need a release data and a price? anyone anyone??? then after that, he needs a head and weapon upgrade for sure. And i feel the pain, with everyone why they dont like Silverbolt, not much there, the transformation is so easy and blind chimp can do it and the colors are not to G1 homeage. But all and all, his not that bad, when he's free like my was! at least give Silverbolt some slack, he's the leader of the aerialbots!!

Thats sick. It may be a straight up repaint but it just looks to damn cool to pass up.

I will be getting this, oh yes.

And this is the first time I wish I had the Botcon Dreadwind.
