I'm OK with that!

Seeker repaints are OK in my book.

And the sad part is, if they did them all as voyagers, I'd buy 'em all again. I'm such a sucker.

QFT!!

That's one mold that they can repaint till their hearts desire and I'll still buy them in Lilac, Teal, and Mauve!! I'm a sucker for seekers and will always be one.

Yea they are nice, especially that mold, I would love a few of these.

I love this new repaint. I am a little peeved I bought the Henkei version now, the bright white looks nicer than the pearly grey. If I see it on sale I will grab it and give it the Henkei launchers so it fits in with Thundercracker.

Right there with ya! I am another of those types that'll buy seekers by the truckloads....big, small, whatever....I generally love the molds! Color matters little, they could be PLAID and I'd buy it!

I love repaints, I love new and unusual characters, I love Seekers, but I must agree with Sledge. The Rainmakers? Seriously. Are we really that excited about some background characters or animation errors that we must clamor for their figures? I know, I'd buy them for the reasons I stated above, but is there no character so minor that we can sit back and agree doesn't require a plastic version? It's like Star Wars figures for guys no one even noticed were in the movie (not EU stuff, like each of the Senators from the prequels, etc.).
If we're really going to get the Rainmakers, how long until someone starts to cry that we haven't gotten a Soundwave that transforms into that lightpost or whateverthehell he was in the first episode of the G1 cartoon for all of .8 seconds?
(That's my idea....don't none of you vultures go stealing it.)

This is a pretty good deal for those who missed out on the 1st issue or who wanted the Takara version but couldn't afford it. However, compared to the Takara version it lacks detail in the paint job.

Starscream has a smirk instead of a dull surprise!

Thats just classy. Now I can replace my broken Classics Starscream.

Well there a 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime, which is a re-issue of G1 Optimus Prime.

Megatron... if the HTS (Hasbro Toy Shop) exclusive Megatron is part of Universe, then yeah there a Megatron. Same for HTS exclusive Optimus Prime.

I guess what I meant was a Universe version of the voyager Prime and Megatron since this Starsream is just the classics mold.

Hopefully they'll do Skywarp and Thundercracker. 'Cause you gotta admit, Univers 2.0 is FULL of repaints and rereleases. Why not do the Coneheads too.

i may get him to save mony on henie version but still they could have added more detail in the paint job instead of takara showing them up all the time they could have more colors to him in robot mode

I really don't understand transfans. Takara do G1 accurate paintjobs and people masturbate themselves unconscious with excitement. Hasbro do it, and people complain about a lack of detail.

Well, you kind of explained the reason I prefer Takara over Hasbro in your post, detail. Hasbro’s paint applications are worse as is their general quality. Takara on the other hand makes it G1, and with detail. Universe G1 Starscream has a serious lack of detail, which is the reason I don’t like it.

Of course, in all fairness, you pay less, but I suppose you get less. I do like the eggshell white though.

Not over here, were I live importing Takara will be the same as buying hasbro of the shelf, sometimes even cheaper.

Perhaps another reason to like Henkei? Image

Well if they do jack up the prices over here again, I mean WTF? they already jacked up the price for deluxes as the movie came out by €5! With TFA they did another €, right now the only reason why I'm not importing Henkei is cos I want to pay my Henkei seekers first before I decide if I can spend more money. Plus I really hate to wait.
Seriously the moment Takara announces that they will be making TFA Hasbro won't be seeing a cent from me!

When is Starscream coming out? and I will pick him up to add to my collection since I never got a chance to get him as a kid and I hope Hasbro does the same for Skywarp and Thundercracker as well.

See, in best Columbo fashion, there's something I don't understand. I don't see how one can claim G1 accuracy for a deco that has added detail. It kinda confuses me. The only conclusion I can come to is that in fact the G1 being referred to is the toyline. Fine. But then the Henkei line is smothered in chrome that the originals often didn't have, so that doesn't really work either.

And of course, the Universe Starscream seems to me to be fairly clearly intended to represent cartoon Screamer (which makes sense as it's how most people will remember him), so complaining about a lack of detail in that context confuses me. I don't recall the cartoon characters having much detail.

But hey, as long as people get the figure they want, it's all good. :D

I never liked the purple Takara used for Skywarp which was also used for Cybertron Megatron. And the randon chrome on their Henkei.
