When we heard about this third party company a few months ago, fans were full of expectations and anticipation. Today in Victoria, the fine folks from MakeToys showcased their upcoming products. On display was their upgrade 'Tank' for Reveal The Shield/United Optimus Prime, all colored and armed to the teeth. Behind 'Tank' in display was a new prototype previewed earlier this month, who looks much like The Fallen. Lastly, it's the big combiner everyone has been waiting for, it's MakeToys' representation of Devastator, under the moniker of Giant. If you weren't able to make it to the Victoria Toy Fair hosted by Cherry Bomb Toys today, then here's your first up close look at these prototype figures. Seriously dude, keep that mouth closed and the drool in check!
All 48 photos will be found in our events page once updated today! In regards to the release of 'Giant', the figure will be first released in short run numbers as G2 Devastator (Yellow). This will be released in three packs of two, and will include a plethora of weapons and additional accessories. The main release of 'Giant' will be in the normal purple and green. Expect both of these releases to be shipping by the end of this year.

This isn't Hercules, this is Giant. He's ~$100-200 and is a tad bit smaller.

RtS Prime's robot mode looks a lot better now. Too bad his vehicle mode will always be crap!

Would it kill MakeToys to display Tank with a United Prime just once? The guy who looks like the The Fallen is awesome, but I think his face needs a little more work. He doesn't look particularly angry, so much as he looks like he's accidentally soiled himself.

IIRC, they are at the stage of trying to strike a deal with the distributor that will make the toy the least expensive, so IMO they can take their time!

My guess is maketoys wants giant to come out before hercules. so their rushing the giant release date because the devestator that gets released first will steal all the customers/money. fans are in-patient,they won't wait for hercules,they'll spend all their money on giant & have zero money left for hercules.

It is great to hear that both versions of Build will be released before the end of the year. He looks fantastic and I am excited to hear he will be loaded with accessories. Will the green version come in two packs or all together?

Extra stuff with the G2 Version? Sold. They're the Constructicons I owned, anyway. Plus, y'know my wife's a huge LSU fan, so the Purple and Yellow Transformer would get more freedom to roam around the house when played with.

Not sure how the figure above resembles the fallen in any way. Was the fallen even part of G1 in the Japanese cartoons ??? I thought Michael Bay created the character...
If the Maketoys Devi comes out in G2 colors, ill buy it. If not, Im sticking with TFC Devi.

The fallen i'm gonna buy as soon as I see pre-orders. the toy looks to be voyager or ultra sized.
Giant I like better than hercules. I don't have the budget money to buy neither & I'd rather buy otherr 3rd party stuff in 2012 like Hexatron,G-1 new mold ultra magnus by CHMS,Dinobots combiner. 3rd party MP Soundwave.
If I get more budget money i'll buy giant in a heart beat in G-1 green & purple colors.

If done right, MakeToy looks to be a serious competitor in the 3rd party market. Absolutely LOVING The Fallen. So huge and bad ass looking. Just impressive looking.
Their "Battle Tanker" is another impressive looking piece. Just really loving what I am seeing from them. I hope they can keep their pricing down as much as possible. That's the only thing that is worrying me.
And I'll be buying their Green Devy when it comes out. This is the one I've been waiting for more then the TFClub's version.

maketoys devi is definitely more on par with G1 devi in the looks department. infact, it looks almost like G1 devi with all the crazydevy parts! albeit, just a bit bulkier. not sure how much bigger the fallen is tho. hes only about an inch taller than deluxe size optimus? looks big in picture. definitely getting tanker upgrade!

Sad news about the green version. I was hoping they would release the bots separately, I can't afford $400 in one go.
Still, looks like a must-have, perhaps even moreso than FP's Bruticus.

Fallen's swords is BMF.
Sad news about the green version. I was hoping they would release the bots separately, I can't afford $400 in one go.
Still, looks like a must-have, perhaps even moreso than FP's Bruticus.

Herc won't be THAT much bigger in size measurement-wise, but the proportions are different. Herc's head is the highest point of his body while on Giant that goes for his shoulders.
I'm impressed with the height of the Constructicon shown. I thought these would be Scout sized.

I completely agree about the Fallen.
The pricing is fair I think. Yeah, it's higher than what we'd expect from FP, but I think we are also getting a little more from these guys. Excellent looking trailer that turns into the battle station and armor, two swords for Prime(one with lights), a sword for drift, and the gun. That's a decent amount of accessories IMO.
These guys are hitting a grand slam. The Fallen size is outstanding. Move over Megatron, the Fallen is about to take over my Decepticon army. I'm also impressed by the size of the Constructicon.

Their "Battle Tanker" is another impressive looking piece. Just really loving what I am seeing from them. I hope they can keep their pricing down as much as possible. That's the only thing that is worrying me.

i was just thinking if they keep the 2packs at around their projected cost of 135 then imo its worth the money especially if theyre deluxe sixed and come with acessories. mun/exp were scout and were 100 and included acc. so their prices are somewhat inline with fp.

I just don't see how they're going to get Giant (or any of his 2-packs) released this year when we haven't seen anything in color or any pre-orders yet.
