Walmart Exclusive Masterpiece Skywarp at Walmart.com

I really want it, but I'm hesitant to spend that much. Especially right now when I should be spending my money on gifts for other people.

Already picked 2 up from the local Walmart and they had plenty left after 2 weeks of being on the shelves. I'm waiting for them to go on clearance so I can have the price adjusted.

I really want it, but I'm hesitant to spend that much. Especially right now when I should be spending my money on gifts for other people.

thats cheap for master piece i say go for it its better than spending 2 3 times as much for takara version isnt christmas only month or 2 away

cant believe they dont ship to canada. whats worse is while walmart canada does have a website, you cant buy from it. its basically a website to look at things and then you gotta go to store and hope they have it. its 2009 and a major department store doesn't have an online store for its own freakin country....how sad.

Only took three weeks from the time they started popping up in stores for them to show up online.

Way to go, Wal-Mart.

Hopefully that means they put them out in my store now.

Let me tell you it's a pain to know they have 15 of these bad boys in stock but they seem to "lost" the boxes in a pile and only one person knows about it while the other toy section works stare at you blankly, even though the boxes has Masterpiece Skywarp on them.

This figure is great !!! I seen like 20 of them in my local Wal-Mart in Miami (Hialeah store) almost 2 weeks ago. I go to a 24 hour Wal-Mart at 5 in the morning to avoid Christmas shopping freaks and loud children. I advise everyone to go get this guy so that Wal-Mart will keep cashing into all the G1 molds and repaints that we love. Wal-Mart has the power to topple the Henkei/Tarkara regime and bring us all the figures that Hasbro couldnt convince them to relese in the USA. But we must show them we really are willing to buy these toys....

Same thing happened to me.

Bit of a question and a warning:

1. Can you return/exchange an Open Skywarp is say it's defected a bit? I have some of his wing ends (The parts that fold back) defected and comes off too easily and his tail fin also comes off too easily. Not to mention he doesn't want to snap together so easily and leaves big ass gaps, mainy in the back where his legs connect in jet mode and the bottom where the wings connect to his arms (Even MP Starscream I have doesn't do that)

And the warning is QC might be a bit off with this figure or I must be unlucky enough to buy the one that has what seems to be the most defect in a toy since most these parts shouldn't just come off during the transformation so easy.

I hope, aside from Universe Hot Shot and TFA Sunstorm I have never had Quality problems with any figure, even the Wal-Mart Starscream only has the hinge wear on his wings. But Skywarp has so many issues that messes up his Jet mode for me and I didn't buy that $5 replacementh plan (I'm not sure why they have that but I guess to BS you out of returns)

I just don't know what policy they have on opened toys with defects. Kinda hopping someone really knows so I don't get stuck with this one or even buying a new one for 60 more dollars.

About two hours ago in store. I actually got the excahnge (Kinda surprised) but I did take a while to carefully pick the next figure (A lot also had minor paint mess ups and such)

The new one is a LOT better quality. It still has the same problem as Starscream where he migh have the fragile wing hinges and where the speed brake on top doesn't connect all the way but it's a lot better then the last one which doesn't snap in right.

I got mine on Wed. There were like 20 units at my Walmart. $55

Here's a question: what the hell are they gonna do for someone that actually buys that plan and comes back 6 months from now to use it and these things are long gone? Pull a Hasbro and exchange it for a similar figure? Even though there are no similarly priced figures...

Mainly why I didn't buy it. It would be nice to get a replacement but useless unless Hasbro learned that people don't like flawed figures. We pretty much know why this nice figure is flawed because you need to handle it when transforming. Hell my Starscream had that hinge wear that should have been fixed, but sometimes even being careful with it is hard because of how you have to pull them off the pegs and what not to lift it.

Man, I could not find a Masterpiece Screamer at any WalMart in my area when he came out. Now these same WalMarts have a surplus of Skywarps. What is the reason? Did they simply make more of them? Or, are people not buying them? Is it the higher price? Is it the recession?

I got mine today. I haven't taken him out of the box, as I had already exceeded my monthly TF budget. I had to convince the wife that I would open him up a different month in place of buying something else. The colors are better than the Takara version. Now I wish I had not put the stickers on my Takara Skywarp, as the glossy plastic makes his jet mode look very bad ass. Without the stickers, Takara Skywarp looks like a real F-15. Then I can leave the takara one in Jet mode and the Hasbro one in robot mode. I could also swap the heads so that the hasbro one has the unique Takara skywarp facial expression.

I bought and returned 3 Skywarps before I found one that wasn't half broken or looked like it had been painted by a blind person in the dark.

I'd believe it. I've seen them in multiple locations in GA and most have terrible paint apps. I think it was CP that mentioned a few weeks ago that you can really see the extra 30 dollars difference in the US and Japanese release and now that I've seen them, I totally agree. I wouldn't replace my Japanese version with this one.

It would be so bad though but it does take a while to find the perfect one that isn't broken or has fingerprints or smudges. The only problem is there be too many of these issues.

Who knows what it will be like if you get it from the website. Sometimes ill be at a store for hours picking through the pegs and displays for the best one. I cant remmber when , but walmart.com was selling a japan edition of masterpiece but my firend had to take his back because the box got smashed and fig was broken.
