Everyone says Big Convoy is really, really hard to transform, but the general verdict is that he's a pretty awesome toy too. So I was wondering, since I own the ROTF Leader Optimus Prime and can almost manage to get him in truck mode without blowing a gasket, is Big Convoy still as difficult as he is, or just difficult by Beast Wars standards?

I have no trouble w/ Big Convoy. And yes he is all forms of awesome.

I don't have him, so I can't confirm, but I would assume he's "difficult by BW standards." I mean, just from looking at him, I would guess that he basically shifts around, curls up, and you tab all the kibble together. RotF Leader Prime is just horrible because of how difficult it is to line up all the arm panels (which, by extension, impacts how level he sits in truck mode). Half of his transformation to vehicle mode literally hinges on one step.

I haven't transformed mine since 2004. Still in 'bot mode and YES, he is sooooooooooo awesome!

Just remember to always take care of his trunk (seriously).

I have the Universe version and Beast Wars 2 (or is it Neo) version of the mold. I also have RoTF Prime. I'd have to say that the Big Convoy mold doesn't hold a candle to the RoTF Prime mold in terms of complexity. I've actually managed to transform my Big Convoy quite easily without directions. I'm not saying that to brag. I'm saying that because I absolutely suck at transforming the majority of my figures (especially the RoTF molds) and have to constantly refer to Youtube reviews for transformations.

Have big convoy and the universe repaint along with Prime. to me Big convoy is harder to transform.

One of the hardest to transform in my collection.

For me it's big convoy mold.( I have the universe repaint) Well, at least now it is because for some reason the panels on his gun don't line up like they should. :-(

Before the panel problem I could get the panels perfectly lined up on the figure but now I can't so Rotf is easier now.

For what it's worth, I only own the RotF OP, but the general consensus is that the RotF mold just has so many moving parts and steps which have to be executed in the right order. His transformation can take a long time on your first few tries and it and has a few kinks you need to figure out. The instructions are rather vague on several steps, namely the arms.

BWNeo OP is simpler in comparison, but he's a massive shellformer whose mammoth shell bits have to be juuuust right in order to fit. There's literally no margin for error.
+ the Universe Nemesis Prime repaint is packaged in robot mode, but the instructions are beast to robot, which makes it a bit more difficult.
