One of my Corona Sparkplugs is a far lighter shade of gold than the others. I'm pretty sure that the one from the Costco set was the same shade as the regular release Powerlinx Prime version (CP should be able to confirm this), so that would make it the one that came with the Magna Convoy DX set. 90% sure on this, but it has been a while since I got all of these and the Minicons have not been kept with their respective TFs in the interim.

For all your concerns about Armada Sparkplug, see here and let me know what you think:

1) Green Unicorn Dead End = Armada Unicron Dead End?
2) What were the non-X-dimension teams released in Japan that were different from Hasbro. The clear dark saber (MM-17) is one. The red sea team (MM-15) is two. Any others?
3) Were there more then 3 versions of over-run? (OP over-run, NP run-over, UM over-run)
4) Were ther more then 5 versions of sparkplug (yellow, blue, red, green, gold) and 4 versions of corona sparkplug (gold-ish, silver, orange, blue)

1. Should just be Dead End. Green Unicron is really all of the Mini-Cons in a giant spirit gestalt. One would assume Dead End is restored for this. In the green unicron gallery I saw, they said the dead-end wasn't even repainted green and was the exact same as armada. Not even a slight paint change as in the booster dead-ends.
2. Anime Perceptor, Blue Star Saber, Solid Star Saber. All of Micron Booster. I've got these all already. I'm talking about regular 1st wave releases. In other words, Japan released a red sea team instead of the maroon sea team we got in the US and they released a clear dark saber instead of the US version. Did they ever release the solid dark saber over in Japan?
3. Yes, Crystal Convoy release. Black Convoy's is differen too I believe... Thanks, I'll have to go look these up.
4. Sparkplug's gold version is a Lucky Draw, not really a fair count. I'm counting everyting that's a Hasbro/Takara produced or licensed minicon.

Mmm... of all regular Japanese releases, excluding obvious stuff like X-Dimension team, the only different minicon teams are the red Sea Team and the Clear Dark Saber. The Armada Dark Saber has never been released in Japan. Several partner minicon are slightly different, but not all of them. I confirm that Green Unicron's minicon is identical. It's the only LD minicon which is identical to its regular release.

What's a fair price for the Energon Magnus Requiem Blaster? I've seen Ultra Magnus going for about $65-$70 on the bay with and w/o them.

I paid my second one just 7$, so it depends on your luck. I guess that 30-35$ is a fair price, if you don't want to get an awesome Energon Ultra Magnus with them...

Wow nice collection of Armada Prime's. I used to own the Hasbro Powerlinx prime, but it had awful QC issues.

So I got a Micron Legend Prime for $60, and a Magna Convoy set for $130. My son loves the regular Mircon Legend version so much that he shows it off to others. He becoming quite the collector.

Yes, but I am not sure I want to take him out of the package. :D Now who can tell me the name of "rollout" in this Japanese Toys R Us set. Rollout is clear red. I guess perceptor here is called the X dimension street action team. I am still learning them all.

Rollout is known as Magnus in Japan. His combined form is Ultra Magnus, hence why when merged with Super Convoy, they become Magna Convoy.

Super Convoy + Ultra Magnus(Overload) = Magna Convoy
Convoy + Jetfire = Jet Convoy
Convoy + Jetfire + Ultra Magnus = Magna Jet Convoy

I got this from Counterpunch :D

Some website call it Crystal Magnus. You could call it crystal rollout but since it's a Japanese only exclusive it's probably better to use the Japanese name for rollout.

I was going through some of my Minicons the other night and noticed another small varient. I've got 3 versions of the Swindle mould in red and black, one quite obviousty different that's the Zapmaster from the Sam's Club 2 pack and two that are almost identical. After a couple of minutes of head scratching (no wonder I'm going slowly bald!) I realised that the one with grey paint aps on the head would have been from the Hasbro release Starscream and the one with white (we'll call it white, it's actually a much lighter grey) paint aps would be from the Takara Starscream. Probably already a fairly well known variation, just thought I'd mention it.

Of course I have!
For rarity, the SGD team, that makes every collection quite special.
IN absolute, the Caliber Team, the Air Military Team that goes with Sonic Bomber/Cybertron Wingsaber.
Among the Blasters, my favourite is the X-Dimension one, because with Armada Predacon it's simply perfect.
My favourite Saber is the Blizzard Saber, to go with Armada Megatron (it's like this: Blizzard Saber: Armada Megatron; Energon Saber, identical to its Japanese release: Galvatron General; Cruellock and Doomlock's swords go to Galvatron and Armada Galvatron, respectively).
My favourite shield is the first Armada repaint, I also own its Japanese release, which is identical anyway.
And among all the others, I think Wedgeshape takes the cake, I love this micron!

I like rikkombas idea of giving the cybertron blaster to predacon, so I did that.
Here is Megazarak getting ready for the clone wars. I gave him two bug generals. I love the Megatron mold he came from.

Image

Here is Sentinal Maximus with clones. He's kinda spikey.

Image

"Megatron, I'm your biggest fan" The little copters can turn into guns quickly too. I will not leave him like this, but I thought it was funny. He is also getting ready for the clone war.

I saved Unicron for the last item in my Armada collection. Kind of like the crowning glory of the set. Besides not having a place to put him :D

Megazarak has such wonderful colors and is probably the most testosterone pumped bot, I have displayed. So if I am going to give him spheres, the spheres will have guns. He would walk around unbalanced with only one sphere attached so there are two. Anyway the colors of the bug generals match well and give a bit of bling to his knees.

There are 2 white teams:

white destruction team: 2000 or 3000 made, not too hard to find, they were thought for a coloring contest in 2003 (2004?);

white Hellflame Team: the Hellflame team is the gray, black and yellow remold of the Emergency Team. Makeshift and Firebot got a new handle to be held by larger 'bots. This is the white version of this rare team.
