Cobotron wrote:Quality? Big concern of late. His construction is good. All the joints are good. Soft ratchets feel good and do their job. Nothing feels like it's going to snap off. Pegs and slots hold. It's just the plastic. It's not what it used to be. But it's the same as CW. If your not used to it/over it by now. It's on you. Let it go. It's a toy robot. Have fun.

Happy you like him. And if you like him, I will too

Then you're dealing with it in your own way. I'm glad it's not a deal breaker. I don't blame you for having apprehension towards PMOP. I'd feel the same. In fact I handle my Tak Mags with the utmost care now, due to your experience. Those tabs were just plain done poorly.Hellscream9999 wrote:I'd get over it, but it's how I lost out on $90 worth of Ultra Magnus', so... no, I'd be doing a disservice to myself if I let it go#foreverbitter
That said, I don't hold it against the line, nor will it keep me from getting the figures I want (save maybe pmop, because F that mold and plastic)
Not gonna lie. I tried to shoot him at an angle that looked good. SO at the right angle... But ya, it's not perfect. But I don't hate it. When a toy is a toy my expectations are mild. When a toy is a Masterpiece they are high. There may have been a better way, but I can just use my imagination to blur it out. So it really isn't a thing for me. I was just pleasntly suprised they were able to squeeze any movement out of it at all.Hellscream9999 wrote:does the mask look off to you at all, the picks you posted actually made it look kind of natural, and he's been on the cusp of my want it/don't want it list for a while...

Has your recent distaste for Hasbro products been deluded by the fun stuff this line has to offer?
Also Cobo, if the plastic is like CW then its fine. I just hope we never go back to that FOC plastic. For the life of me I cant understand how someone can hold that FOC Starscream or Shockwave and think "this feels like a quality toy". I also found many generations figures before CW to be made of really shoddy plastic too. Like Windblade and Scoop. You can tell they changed something to that plastic after that because retools, like Slipstream, feel so much better. I am totally fine with this platic. I also really loved the plastic used on the AOE voyagers.
Bumblebee21 wrote:I like the masterpiece plastic the best. Except for Ironhide's thumbs. I saw a scoop at a flea market and he had a broken leg and the front half of his head was gone

Oh yeah, MP Plastic is awesome, but I was comparing standard retail toys to compare apples with apples. And if you dont own Scoop, you arent missing out. He's not bad, just very average. It always seems like people just want the G1 toys with better articulation but you realize with Scoop that the idea is better in our minds because the result ends up dull and predictable even when done as well as possible.
I'll be posting some thoughts on it later, stay tuned to the regular Seibertron channels!william-james88 wrote:Ironhidensh wrote:You found voyagers, and I found deluded. A good weekend for us both.

Bumblebee21 wrote:Oh. Yeah I almost paid $32.99 for him at a comic shop and then decided not to. The best quality retail plastic would have to be AOE voyagers and leader, combiner wars Megatron and So far Titans return Hardhead

Cobotron wrote:Best plastics ever used were probably late G1, Arnada, and Cybertron. The new stuff is fine it just dosent have the heft those older toys had.
I cannot WAIT to get that guy, and I'm living vicariously through you until I find him! I feel like I want to hunt for him, just to make it that much more awesome when I find him in a store and maybe perform his maniacal laughCobotron wrote:I thought of your deep love for Galvatron the whole time, Cram.itscramtastic wrote:BEHOLD!
