I'm getting the set, but I had been planning that since before they muted it.

I'm at 99% getting it. The only thing that would keep me from getting it is dire personal issues, knock on wood.

The scramble city stuff was by far my favorite section of G1 and the combined mode gimmicks of armada was my favorite of that era. Give TFS that do something, then transform, then do something with other TFs and I'll bite no matter the colors. 8-}

Of course I am a fan of most Combining Transformers as well. Original TF being my favorite. however not to nitpick but... Might you be referring more to Energon rather than Armada? -Energon had "Combination Sparks" for almost every Autobot, 3 Gestalt combiners etc... Whereas Armada only had a few minicon team combiners The Optimus/Jetfire/Overload combination & Megatron/Tidalwave.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

I'm referring to exactly the parts of armada you named. I gave up at energon because I was busy with other things. Energon and Cybertron are like this big black hole for me where I have these vague clues of what was going on during that time but the whole key thing is lost on me.

I actually gave up at Cybertron as well. I got most of the Energon toys I wanted, but having a couple kids certainly does change your priorities ;) . In fact at one point I actually had Cybertron Primus in a Basket at Target next to my (almost) 1 year old son. Though it pained me, I put the toy back. --It's been almost 10 years since I collected any TF toys (always kept up on comics, animation & movies)

But the CW/UW line has brought me back.

That's what I love about this line and Victorion. It's brought back a lot of old school people like you and me, but provides newer stuff like Victorion for the newer people. And I really like that I can let my 7 year old play with the CW stuff and I'm not worried about it breaking.

^ Totally Agree. My son (10 now) is getting CW Bruticus (we have Onslaught currently and the limbs on Layaway at TRU) . So he will have the CW toy to enjoy, and I will get the UW version to keep in the box as a collector.

I haven't told my kids about Victorion yet. I am totally sold on the toy. My son *might* be slightly put off by the idea that she is a female. But my daughter will love it ;) .

I love the hands and the feet. They are such an improvement over the boxing gloves that turn into midget sneakers. If hasbro went this route with all the combiners and ditched to pointless "hands/feet must do something", perfect effect would never have jumped in with add on sets. I got a Tupperware full of hasbro fists already just sitting there taking up space.

...Or alternatively they still would have made them as an option for people who like their hands and feet to not become useless wastes of storage space when not attached to a combiner. Hopefully PE makes a set of replacement hands and feet that actually do something for the Torchbearers as opposed to just sitting there. They've done it for all the other combiners so I don't see why they wouldn't do it for her.

You have this complex that everything must do something. I grew up with G1 toys so I dont share that complex. Nothing is more annoying on the hotspot/mold than having combiner head kibble stuck on the vechicle or robot modes. I wish it were detachable so I could just throw it in a box when Im not using it. I could care less where combiner the hands hide in alt mode. I use my imagination. Everything doesnt need a scientific explanation. (Like mass shifting for example) Just think of it as alien technology and stop trying to hold it to the laws of earth science. Annoying parts kibble ruins all the fun. Ditto for guns that look like feet and feet that look like guns.

You have this complex that cartoon space magic is an excuse for lazy engineering. I grew up with self-contained Transformers toys so I don't share that complex. Nothing is more annoying on the "second generation" Hasbro combiners (Vicky, Computron and Liokaiser) and many expensive third party combiners than large amounts of the combined mode having nothing to do outside of combined mode. I wish the parts actually did something so they weren't just more parts to keep track of and take up space when they aren't combined. I couldn't care less if the combined mode proportions aren't perfect. I don't display them in combined mode all the time anyway. Things which are only explainable via "cartoon space magic" need to be gotten rid of (like mass shifting for example). Just think of it as common sense and stop trying to hold it to the rules of a 30 year old merchandise driven cartoon. Annoying useless parts ruin all the fun. Ditto for simplified cheap-looking combiner kibble with nothing to do outside of one mode.

So now the guy who considers KOs to be highly unethical is resorting to plagiarism? And for someone who accuses G1 toy engineering of being lazy, why are you being so lazy? Write your own comment from scratch instead of altering mine to fit your beliefs. Its not "cute"...its sad. And its the worst case of the pot calling the kettle black ive ever seen.

I fear it wouldn't last very long. He brings up the same points over and over again and then gets upset when I demolish them. When X stops posting the same crappy arguments I will have no reason to continue bulldozing them. As long as he keeps on sh!tting up the forum with his meaningless drivel, well... >:oP

You just ignore them.

@rodimus prime while I can understand theories that all the polls have been rigged, I just don't believe it as the simplest explanation is that it's all legit. Plus considering all the toy leaks, something like rigged polls will have also leaked.

End of the day though, it matters not as we're getting new characters, which if everything goes well for them will be remembered and appear in other media years down the line.

I have the same opinion regarding the voting on which Titan Class figure should be done next, but that's for the thread concerning the Titans.
Can you provide any sensible reason for why it would've been rigged? (or evidence.) I don't see people getting excited because of the fan-built label, when I see people getting excited it's because there's an entirely new combiner, because they like the design and (particularly) because it's nice to introduce 6 (7?) new female characters to the toyline. None of these qualities are dependent on it being "fanbuilt".

Rodimus Prime wrote:(aren't Transformers supposed to be genderless?
The "genderless" excuse is more than a little lazy. From day 1 Transformers have been heavily rooted in how humanized they are, saturated in diverse tropes/archetypes, and have really benefited from that, so minimizing the representation of half of the human species in the Transformers' designs is really limiting.

Unfortunately false votes have happened. I remember (can't remember who or where, but I think it was Willy J who said it) that there was a thing mentioned where a Batman? or superman? figure was supposed to be "fan created" but then it was released early or was proven to be false as they already had made the figure and the vote was a cheap thing to do.

Now as for her: considering how much retooling was done and considering they were smaller parts and have now had over a year to do stuff (which should be enough time for retools) I think this gal is still more fan built than made up. And for the titan one we must remember: that figure will not be showed off for a whole year at least, let alone released, so it will have the time. It's more they have an idea what they will do they just needed the priorities and desires from the fans to decide which way they will go or which way they will go first :MAXIMAL:

I still think the colors are messed up, they should've toned down the red, not the turquoise, could someone please digibash it to show how it would look that way? And still, they need a third color, some black on the thighs would nicely break up the hot red mess.

Someone did do the black thighs in a digibash a couple of pages back:

Good job guys. Because everyone threw a **** fit over the colors being all neon they made them toned down and boring... The blinding colors helped make them unique, and now they're just generic repaints even more than they already were!

That's not necessarily true, the initial figures were likely hand painted, and as seen at various fairs and conventions, the hand painted figures rarely look exactly like the colored plastic they're molded in >:oP

Not to mention when they were first revealed it was a good 9 months ago, so production has had time to actually change and react a bit. plus everything is much more finalized now :MAXIMAL:

I fear it wouldn't last very long. He brings up the same points over and over again and then gets upset when I demolish them. When X stops posting the same crappy arguments I will have no reason to continue bulldozing them. As long as he keeps on sh!tting up the forum with his meaningless drivel, well... >:oP

The only thing you are bulldozing is your reputation. You don't even buy any of these figures. You come on this site for the sole purpose of trolling me into arguments. You are trying to goat me into saying something that will upset the mods. That is your passion. You are obsessed with me. Without me you have no purpose in life. I own you.

I will no longer be responding to your comments.

Now back to Combiners guys...

Sometimes, it really helps to read a comment aloud before clicking submit.

Justified since they are pretty different from the other uses of the Alpha Bravo mold story wise they are twins but they don't look exactly the same such as different heads and reversed patterns on their chest plates..

Stormclash and Skyburst are twins. That's why they have the same alt mode and (reversed) deco, just different heads.

Also, am I the only one who noticed/was bothered that TFWiki switched Skyburst and Stormclash's alt modes in those official pics? Because that really annoys me.

Yes they are the coptor molds, but I love that we have twins in combiners. It makes things a bit more interesting.

and I hadn't noticed that TFwiki had it wrong. That is a bit strange :MAXIMAL:
