I dont think the molds dont work well for female transformers as there is no guideline to what makes a robot male or female. But I do feel that showing the importance of more female transformers would have been been more accomplished by having a few new molds made for this occasion rather than using molds that were first used for males. Its not about making it less male or more female, its just about making it unique to itself instead of derivative. Those retools better be Springer/Sandstorm level.

I....am perfectly happy and delighted by this news. While I did vote Quakebreak, I like Victorion. She and Superion need to hook up lol
I did not get many of the results I voted for, but I am really happy either way. I can't wait to see her when she is debuted.
For the record: I hope she has a Hot Spot torso (Silverbolt as backup) with Dragstrip and Dead End cars (no breakdown, I will use the cars as legs hopefully and he does not pull off the knee-pad look good) and Alpha Bravo and Air Raid arms (with Firefly as a backup. Planes look good as arms in my opinion).
I am glad this is happening. It truly is a great time for transformers.

For all those wondering what the results were and how it would look like, here are the results all together:

-Faction: autobot
-Of the four limbs, two will be aerial vehicles and two will be cars.
- From Sea of Rust
-Color scheme: navy-blue-gold, orange-gray-blue, and teal-red-white.

This last one is reminiscent of famed combiner Liokaiser's color scheme.

Very excited about this. Hopefully we'll at least get Elita-1 and Firestar (which they will probably have to change the name of ). I've seen a lot of responses saying that they think the fandom will hit the wall with this and I'm curious as to hear why? To be honest, I've never really read a lot of message boards or forums until recently and I've only ever seen positive things about getting fembots like Arcee. Heck even as a child I didn't care about the gender of the character as long as they were cool. I remember being 10 and seeing Arcee for the first time in Transformers: The Movie and thinking she was awesome and deserved a figure. I also knew at that age though that female characters didn't sell as well as the male ones and we probably wouldn't get it. Glad to see that somethings change (all though I wish I could get my 8 year old to touch a female Transformer but he's still at that age that anything girls or girly is icky lol).

Oh man, I didnt even think of that. This could be their chance to finally make a generations toy for all the fembots we didnt get yet like Elita 1, Moonracer, Firestar, and Minerva (even though the alt modes dont match up too well).

My perception of one person (in my sig) does not equate me superimposing that bodytype on every female, nor does it prohibit me from speaking out against those who do demand it. A bet does not change that.

The fact this is even being discussed/debated/argued just goes to show there is still an undercurrent of double standards/sexism within our culture. They're female characters... if you prefer male characters because you relate more to them, then pass on this and pick from the other 4 male combiners. It's like me passing on vehicle TFs because I prefer animals. Everybody wants/deserves representation, so if a female combiner "bothers you," then you have issues that need working out. The reason the fanmade characters always turn up being female is that there is a small representation of them in the brand. Again, if you want a male character, go to Walmart and take a pick from the huge amount of choices there are. The only female currently on the pegs right now is Strongarm. The rest are male. Just because female figures don't sell as well as male figures doesn't mean Hasbro shouldn't make any at all... if that were the case, they should completely pull the plug on Decepticons altogether. The movies, particularly Bumblebee being captured in the first one, brought a lot of women into the brand, and as the article mentioned, Dad's whom grew up with G1 are now introducing their daughters to the brand. Those girls deserve representation, especially strong roll models like this combiner.
So to all the guys who are "bothered" by the fan choice combiner not going the way they wanted, get over yourselves... there are a lot more opinions in this world than just your own. Learn to share.

Honestly, I think in the end these will sell quite well for Hasbro. Especially if they get a decent backstory. As far as the figures themselves, I think they have already shown how modular and changeable these units can be, and that Crasher digicolor posted above is slick.

If these do well, I plan to buy a set.
If they don't do well, I plan to have an easier time getting a set.
If they turn around and we find as cross-promotion that the 5 members are named Kimber, Aya, Raya, Shana & team leader Jem, Then I'll have to buy a second set for my wife, and rename it Synergy.

I voted for Slammoth but other than that all my votes have worked out. Colour me happy.

I hope in regards to pallet and design, whatever remolding they do, this has a mid to late Japanese G1 feel, something odd to say, yes. However with a name like VICTORION it has that authoritative pseudo Latin name as Thew once said.

The second game, "Brave Saga 2", features a game-original robot named "Victorion".

My apologies if this information bothers you in any way; for some reason when I brought this up in 4chan I was accused of "trolling" for pointing out the existence of a previous character with the same name. I just thought it needed bringing up; not trying to cause trouble here.

Here's the problem, Takara has never owned the Brave Series. Yes, they made the toys and influenced the character designs, but the franchise belongs to Sunrise and Takara no longer has the license. Bandai bought Sunrise in 1994 which must have been awkward because Takara still had the rights to make the toys through the rest of the '90s. Now Bandai is the one making Brave figures and they probably didn't renew the name Victorion.

Hasbro seems to have a pretty good grasp on how to handle female figures thanks to the Marvel and Star Wars lines. Mattel on the other hand has killed lines by not making female figures, such was the case with their Naruto and Avatar the Last Airbender lines. I think Hasbro knows what they're doing. And if the fans don't buy I'm sure the scalpers will be happy to.

And since it IS a female combiner, the Victorion/Victoria thing works out pretty well.

While I get the Victory/Victorion thing, I'm also liking the idea of "Victorian". Being rust colored from the Sea of Rust make me want her to be a little on the steampunk side.

Some of the car molds have a piece that comes down over their chest to cover the peg. Wouldn't be hard to do that for the drivers, for flyers maybe they can make it fold from the bottom up instead.

I hope this doesn't mean that they won't be releasing any more fembots this year. I was hoping to see them release Nautica, as well as an Elita 1 at some point (who I was hoping would crop up in the comics).

As mentioned earlier, I wonder if they'll go with the fembots from The Search For Alpha Trion, with the exception of Chromia, of course. They seem to be tying it in with the comics and I don't think I've seen any of those fembots appear.

Ultimatley though, my point is I don't think it's necessary to do a bunch of remolding. New heads, new paint, Billy is now Betty, call it a day.

Well, your perception of one particular person with a supermodel body on a constant basis doesnt exactly show tons of support the less fortunate women you claim to be defending. Youre pretty much glorifying the same thing I am but in a digital form rather than plastic toys.
