Haha! Thanks! QW is, from all accounts one awesome figure. I can't wait to get my greedy hands on him.

I really do recommend Brawny. He and Backland are loads of fun and really well built and the transformation engineering is so innovative and clever. If you do end up getting them both I also recommend the Quint journal as well. The accessories are fun

DA DADADA DAAAAA!

Ok I have waited for this guy for a long time, finding him at a decent price MISB. And waiting for him to get through customs and then have the infernal USPS take their time delivering him (since he was only coming from Quebec to S.E. PA??).

But alas he is finally here! YAAAY I swear, I almost squealed like a lil girl when he showed up at the door :grin:

Loving everything about him.

Now I need my batteries to arrive... :-(

So jealous. I'm not even sold yet on the idea of incorporating 3P's into my MP collection, but I'm kicking myself for skipping this guy.

Gotta say i'm also jelly you got Quakewave , i nearly dropped £250 till i came to my damn senses haha

and yes we must get a petition going i want a Qakey for the original price of £110 :-x

Shajaki and I were just talking about this. I am about 40 bucks (in my sock drawer MP savings account) away from ordering UM. He is one of my all time favs so it's kind of a no brainer for me. Although I am a HUGE fan of the white truck in armor motif, I am really excited to see how they pulled him off as a single TF.
Starsaber looks AMAZING and I am thinking hard about him. But it boils down to the fact I just don't have an emotional attachment to him. In fact I know nothing about him except that I could pick him out of a line up by appearance.

With your diorama coming along so nicely, and it seems to me you love your Hasbro G1, I would have figured you already have Magnus.

I feel like the Magnus supply is fleeting do to his popularity here in the west. I think Starsaber is kind of a niche bot in the west compared to his popularity in Japan. I could see his stock sticking around for a while. Of course Magnus could get reissued soon too.

As I said to my fellow Cobro, it's probably the most excited I've been for a character I know nothing about. And I've been following the millions of tweets since day one, and it's just looks so damn impressive.

Honestly, I don't think there's a clear cut answer. I think there's a lot of Magnus fans between the US and JP to deplete online stock, driving his price to the heights previously seen with MP10. But at the same time, the fan base here might be small for Saber, he is currently the #1 toy in Japan (seriously)! So I hate to say it, but it's a crap shoot.

My professional opinion (as a trained professional toy dude) is to go with Magnus. If they both sell out, you'll be happier with the character you know

This pretty much how I have been feeling/thinking about this situation. Starsaber seems really awesome, and he is a great character in his own right but I did not grow up with him.

I guess I got jaded on Magnus by looking at all the reviews showcasing his lack of shoulder articulation, which for some reason has been sticking in my craw. But I think it is a minor nit pick for an MP version of a character to which I am connected.

Yes, Shajaki he does look impressive and I know he has got a huge cult following in Japan. All of which I guess I got caught up in LOL. After thinking about it what you and Cobs have said is what the little voice in the back of my head keeps saying. "You didn't grow up with Saber and you don't know him".

Yeah I have to agree, I think it is a crap shoot. There is so much going on in the hobby from official to un-official that folks are having to take a little bit of time between purchases which is why Magnus and Saber are not flying off the shelves. I do think that Magnus will be all gone before Saber (here in the U.S.)....

Trained Professional Toy Dude -- that is definitely T-shirt worthy and if I may be so bold also business card worthy :grin:
