It is the Takara version and the colours are, overall, better IMO, but they did manage to make some bits the wrong colour anyways. Check out the front page, there are links.

Great another TFA figure making it's way over to a different line! Hasbro please stop this, you did this with Lockdown and some others and now with Lugnut!! Hasbro i don't understand you sometime, or even at all, this is the last thing we need is mixing lines and such. What a wasted resource Lugnut is. This one is a PASS for me.

Yeah, I actually think he will look really good going up against Powerglide. Hopefully he's not too much smaller.

Sooooooo......if both of you think Lugnut fits into the classics/Genline, then ROTF Lockdown and Axor will too? cause if both of you say yes, then both of you are off your rockers."cough cough Lugnut isnt G1 which from my point of view is where most of the Genline is coming from and doesnt rival with Powerglide cough cough"

Yes to them too.
Why? Lockdown has done a bunch of stuff to modify himself, hence his horrific appearance. Axer was originally an Action Master and had to go through similar modification to regain his transformation.
If we're gonna get real picky about looks, then G1 Season 3 toys have no business being with the first two seasons of Transformers.

I completely agree, What's so bad about adding new Characters to an old Franchise like G1. They added Drift so why not Lugnutz.
P.S. Counterpunch your sig is going to haunt my mind for months now.

I'd also like to add that Lockdown is a major player in the new Drift mini-series, so by IDW standards, he is officially retconned into Classicverse. Hooray! But if you had to ask, I'm not completely sold on Shane McCarthy's writing, even though I like Drift in concept.
And CP, I'm not completely with you on the fact that G1 Season 3 toys have no business being with the first two seasons of Transformers. Scramble City combiners were originally intended as a sub-genre of the Diaclone line. If anything, they act like a missing link between Diaclone and 2010/Master lines.

Strafe is sort of a shock to me because I thought it would have been mindwipe in sunspot's colors, still even though he's not it still looks awesome. As for lugnut, they took the animated version and totally realisticificated it. both look just amazing.

Except the first 4 combiners appeared in Season 2. Season 3 is when the futuristic vehicles became common place, quite a change.

If I remember it right, that Universe Inferno wasn't modeled after a fire truck which had a ladder, though. So adding a ladder would make the vehicle mode less realistic.

I don't know, I thought most of those 86 movie bots were. Blurr, Cyclonus, Scourge, Springer, Wheelie - pretty sure these guys at least are meant to be futuristic vehicles.
Though I like you answer 'B', it has a certain irrefutable logic

Well, did TakHas actually say they'd only put out Gen/RITS toys based on G1?
