OdeeanRDeathshead wrote:that looks good. I have not seen a pic of tww megs in alt mode  but I guess the arm goes up into the sholder. How are you going to make it stay there?

How dose the styrene hold up to the abrasive action of the steel pins in the joints as it rotates? Even on bought tfs they use vinyl for the joints so how dose it compare to that (I have never built a complex toy from styrene)?

In the end I really don't know. This is my first time working with this stuff.
Doesn't seem to have any problems so far.

I'm spending almost every second I have in between working on parts studying the WW trade paperback.I stare at alot of pics with how the guy is drawn by Don and the only transformation/alt mode pic is in only one issue and I only have one full page veiw of the alt mode and a small pannel for the transformation sequence.

I think I got him figured out. Don told me when I exsplained what I saw of him transforming that I was correct.

So I'm using the book and Don as referances.

Oh man! That is fantastic! I'll be watchin like a hawk.

Here's an interesting WW Megs transormation videoclip. Go frame by frame for some insights even though it's probably not completely accurate.

And here's the regular gallery.

Thats pretty amazing Tfmaster. How do you like working with the styrene so far?

My attempts on my scratchbuilt megatron have almost all but come to a close. I dont know what is more annoying the fact that my scractbuilt looks like something a two year old did or the styrene itself...

Anyways back to your Megs. It really does look great, keep up the good work. Cant wait to see more updates.

Besides turning upward to store in the shoulders, the arms don't transform the same.

The inside area between the shoulders and the chest also pivot forward toextend past the body area when it transforms as well as when it's constructed the treds will turn upward to allow the arms to store in the shoulders.

He really doesn't transform like armada megatron but you get a good feeling of him from the transformation and build of this version of Megs.

Thanks, and keep working on yours. It can be hard but we both know that the hardest part is the time consuming wait.

Just have patience and sand it alot.

Ok.Small update. Worked on the ribs as well as adding the mechanics where it's going to attach to the arms.

He's looking awsome IMO. This has been such obsession lately that for the last 48 hrs I only slept 4 and a half.

Well worth it i'd say. That and I would have had more work done but my kid has been sick all day as well.

Enjoy.

Looking real nice there TFM. Man, I wish I have your work ethics. *must not be lazy, must work on Grimlock* Are you keeping those things on the side of his head. Calling it "those things" for a lack of a better term. I guess the head would look too small compared to the body without "those things".

Edit: never mind, I guess TWW Megs DOES have those things on the side of his head.

I'm making Megs so my 20th Op has a opposite for his size. (Besides Unicron and that to me just looks off)

I have been considering doing a WW Op that size as well but only after I learned what I need making megs.

Ha! I love when people pay attention to the backgrounds.

Anyhoo, you are correct sir.

It is he.

You just don't see the blue in that pic.

Alrighty people, with that out of the way I tried out Krylon Fusion for the first time and found the perfect paint color to use on him for his base gray-ish color.

Without further ado, the painted head!
