Exactly. No one has seen this yet, and t mght just be fugly, a reissue, or a 'new' Devastator made up of a bobcat, a scooby doo van and four identical bulldozers. Alpha Bravo, anyone?

We should be so lucky as to get a Scooby Doo van.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

The G1 Metroplex toy had ports for the combiner limbs to attach to. But Generations Metroplex doesn't.MightyMagnus78 wrote:From memory both G1 Metroplex and Trypticon had the ability to combine with the individual team leaders 'base' modes. So would they be considered part of Combiner wars as well?

Mykltron wrote:What is all this about Prowl? What am I missing?Wolfman Jake wrote:I thought we already learned that Hasbro uses "classes" to differentiate price points, not toy size. It's about the cost of production, including engineering, raw materials used, and complexity of assembly and deco applications.
Unfortunately, all though this would make perfect sense, it just isn't always true. Consider RotF leaders OP and Megatron. One was amazingly complex, the other looks like a rush job. The TFA leader class figures released about the same time were significantly simpler and smaller, yet cost the same. Also, Classics BB and CJ were tiny and simple compared to the other deluxes in the wave.
Burn wrote:The only way this combiner would really win is if they develop a Prowl that can also become part of Devestator.
Shockwave7 wrote:I can't help wondering. It MAY be possible, since the entire subline is 'Combiner' Wars. Will Hasbro make updated versions of the Combaticons/Bruticus? Not that god-awful FoC version, but a GOOD one. If so, will that mean we'd also see updated versions of:
Protectobots/Defensor?
Predacons/Predaking?
Terrorcons/Abominus? (again, not the horrible TF Prime Beast Hunter version)
Technobots/Computron?
The.... SEACONS?
Given that Hasbro usually will bleed out a line until it's dry to score as much dough as possible, I am hopeful that this may indeed happen. So far the CW line has been really good. I hope that means that ALL the G1 style combiners will come out as part of that line, and they will all be equally good.
JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:
Check the main Combiner Wars thread. In short, the Protectobots have been confirmed (with Groove as Legends and a new guy named Rook as a new limb) as well as the names Sunstreaker, Ironhide, Mirage and Prowl (separate from Devastator). In addition, we're only getting 16 Deluxes in the main line, that makes a max of 4 Teams aside from Devastator.

To be honest, the first time I saw RID Towline, I was sure it was the scooby doo van:

Rest assured that won't happen, licensing to Paramount you know?
MasterSoundBlaster wrote:Just as long as it isn't prowlestator, I'll be happy
We should probably expect it to be some form of the G1 version, like the rest of the CW toys are. If it appears in fiction, IDW G1 seems most likely.Blasphemous Prime wrote:I guess the biggest questions on my mind are how tall is the combine mode going to be, and which continuity will it be designed after?

Va'al wrote:Mykltron wrote:What is all this about Prowl? What am I missing?
Comics fiction: Prowl is currently the head (heh) of the Constructicons, with one of their number dead, some past mind control, and a shared purpose.
