I would love to get one of those UW Menasor posters, looks really sweet. Hope Sky Lynx is readily available places because I do not want to miss out. He is one of my fav Transformers and one I wanted a classics figure of most. No one has seen him out at retail yet, correct?

The current Deluxe palette for those thinking of mixing and matching. Can't wait to add the Technobots in the mix! (Though, Camiens (of Victorion) I think shouldn't be able to mix with anyone...)

You missed a few. There's Victorion, Computron AND G2 Bruticus that have been confirmed so that's 12. At least the TEN from TCC, Thunder Mayhem, "Quinpredacus", Impactor AND the mystery figure (as it's confirmed to be a CW deluxe. And if you count the UW characters that aren't being (or may or may not be) released outside Japan then there's Galvatronus and Groove for another five. Not to mention that if you count all uses there's another 19 from the UW versions of Superion, Defensor (minus Groove as I already mentioned him), Optimus Grand Prime, Menasor and Bruticus.

Then there's the speculation of a G2 Defensor, other Botcon exclusives, other UW figures and maybe an online only CW release for Groove but I counted him already.

Luckily I don't need all of the UW releases because while I love having so many mix and match limbs, all of those might put even me over the top for combiner limb reuse fatigue. I have UW and CW Defensor and I'm getting Galvatronus and other than maybe Menasor to use his limbs for Grand Scourge, I don't plan on getting any of the others out now. Although since I don't have the Combaticons yet I might hold out for the UW version of Bruticus and just grab CW Blastoff. However, if they do new limb characters for Sky Reign or anyone else who hasn't been done yet for UW, I might go for those as well.

So I posted this on a Facebook group. One of the very true comments were:

I'd have preferred to collect one of each mold, but it's difficult when sometimes the only way to get a mold is to buy a set of 4 or 5 or 6. Then you have remolds that are so extensive (Skydive versus Air Raid, Rook versus Swindle, Hotspot versus Onslaught) that I don't know if I should collect both. Then I also like the teams themselves... and Hasbro has lousy distribution, so I wouldn't wait until I can buy limbs separately.

Plus, if I did collect one of each mold, ignoring extensive remolds, there would be 9 limbs and 4 torsos (counting Skylinx). If including extensive remolds, 14 limbs and 6 torsos.

In retrospect, the Unite Warriors are much easier to collect and keep to the teams. However, if I did collect those, I'd feel like I'm missing out on Rook, Offroad and Alpha Bravo. I didn't know all the Takara rejects would reappear with Unite Warriors Galvatronus. I also like the Legends guys, and the TAV versions probably look odd on Unite Warriors because their colors are different.

If the Air Raid mold is in Galvatronus, does that mean Combiner Wars Strafe will be an Air Raid recolor, while Unite Warriors Strafe will have a proper mold? (Emphasis added for this forum post.)

The only other time I've collected them all, recolors and remolds included, was Star Wars Transformers. I regret that one a lot more though, and I've sold most of them. Back to "first version of each mold" after this!

My rule is all the standard-issue Hasbro Combiner Wars Legends/Deluxes/Voyagers. That outrules UW, Botcon, SDCC and TFCC. Used to include Titans too, but I really don't want a G2 Devastator! I am getting Victorion, G2 Bruticus and G2 Defensor though if they come out. Only wish G2 Blast Off was a space shuttle like how G2 Brake-Neck and G2 Quickslinger are correctly done!

Am I the only one that finds the fact Sky Reign has all ground vehicle limbs to be a little eyebrow-raising? SKY Reign is almost all ground vehicle. I dunno, maybe I will end up getting Slingshot to replace Smokescreen (Possibly swapping him for Alpha Bravo and putting Slingshot of Superion).

Well technically, Sky Lynx/Reign doesn't match his own name since he's a SPACE ship.
Personally, I'd have loved it if Sky Lynx's limbs were all shuttle-related (i.e. rocket boosters and the fuel tank), and that you could reconfigure the team into the classic launch assembly. This would, of course, require Sky Lynx proper to split into two.
Or failing that just have the limbs all space-related (rovers, satellites, UFOs, etc.)


On an unrelated note, I didn't realize how tiny Swindle/Hound and Brawl get in vehicle mode.

with the recent error in the latest Argos catalogue(UK) of having them put Alpha Bravo(Vortex) as a Voyager Class figure......it got me thinkin.....how come no Voyager Class helicopter character has been made in the Combiner Wars line yet....or ever! for that matter? i wouldn't mind a helicopter transformer that also became the torso for a combiner(would you?) ok....ok.....i get it....that they're mostly only going for the standard G1 Combiners, but why not throw in a new one now & then?(clearly they're doing that with Sky Reign).

Sky Reign completely consists of G1 characters. And I can't remember any helicopter Transformer from G1 except of Vortex and Springer. And why they don't make Springer a combiner is obvious I guess.
But yeah, would have been cool. Maybe someone new, maybe Armada Cyclonus. I don't know...

Right, totally forgot those guys. Yeah, we are getting a repaint of Rook with a new head as TCC Impactor. So Impactor won't be the torso.

I really hope that when Computron comes out, he has the Wheeljack mold (it makes the most sense for Lightspeed), we know about Brawl with a different accessory for the drilltank, and I really want Groove to be heavily retooled to look totally different, and I want Air Raids, wings on Skydives body. That would put the wings up on the shoulders on swivels so they could actually extend out like Strafe shoulders should look
