A Combiner Wars Soundwave who could combine with his cassettes. Good idea or bad idea?

We've already got Titans Return Soundwave coming out so I don't see a need with a CW one. I think the better choice would be his cassettes forming armor/weapons for him. I'd like to see that.

The CW line is over, so of course it won't happen. That's why I thought it was something to wonder about. No chance of it happening.

I'd say a fun idea. I'd rather my Soundwave have little minions that live inside him, but I'm open to new ideas. So instead of just in his torso maybe they can store in his limbs in become weapons and armor, but this is the CW thread sooooo...

In my dream world we talking all new molds, but you know Repaint Wars. This is a fun game and deserves another round. So which mold for the big guy himself, which four cassette bots and which molds?

Soundwave could have 8 little cassettes inside him that all combine in pairs, Squawkbox style; into deluxe limbs for him.
It'd be absolutely insane tho.

I think - based on his similarity to the CW Optimus Prime mould in the IDW comics - I'd have to go with that for Soundwave himself:



Then limb-wise, I was considering Deluxe Groove for Rumble/Frenzy as they are motorbikes in the comic, but actually the boxiness of Rook would be perfect and his hand ports could be used to add piledrivers for that classic look!

And then Lazerbeak/Buzzsaw, not sure which jet-limb to use but any of them would need to be significantly modified if we want bird alt modes!

Orrrr, eschew the birds altogether and go with Botcon Ravage and Ratbat in a (CW Limb retool) Senator body.

I know there has been absolutely zero news about a possible G2 Defensor, but I haven't heard anyone at Hasbro confirm it would not be happening either. Its just that with the following *possible* schedule:

May-Victorion
July-G2 Bruticus
September-Computron

That would leave enough time for one more set and Habsro could finish 2016 & Combiner Wars off with a bang if they released a G2 Defensor.

Compared to the fan-built combiner, a completely new combiner we didn't know was happening until recently, and one of the most well-loved combiners in colours that are legendary due to a certain commercial; I don't think what is probably the most obscure and least-loved of the first 5 combiners in colour schemes that were previously unreleased and generally unnotable would be 'going out with a bang'.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love it to happen, but it's not what I'd say is a particularly exciting end compared to Computron.

Well yeah, but again, it's not really the thing they're ending it on. I'm not saying they won't make a G2 Defensor for the reasons I listed; just that it wouldn't exactly be the best bang to end the line on.

Liokaiser probably will be the last one in the line. Seeing as it wasn't at botcon but it was on the cross-sell for Computron (or was it the Platinum Autobot Heroes set?), I'd expect somewhere around early 2017.

That was Victorion from the video game Brave Saga 2. As far as I know, there is no Toy of it.
