That would not be the case if these were on TRU shelves in the US...awful, awful distribution.
Anyway..two can play this game...

I'm not saying they are any different. It's simply a matter of population. The current population of the U.S. is 9X that of Canada. You take all the same toys, distribute them in the US, where I'm sure there is probably at least 9X as many fans in terms of population, yes those toys are going to sell way more.
Its simple math. You put 100 toys in a market of only 10 fans, only 10 will sell.
You put the same 100 toys in a market that has 90 fans, 90 will sell.
Canada's market is obviously oversaturated, while the U.S. market is ignored? makes no sense to me...

william-james88 wrote:Oh I see now what you meant. You meant the same number of toys in canada would be distributed in the US. I thought we were going proportional, like if every store in canada had 50 box sets, then every store in the us would also have 50 box sets. But you'r looking at the total. Yeah that makes sense. Although I am still not sure because the boxsets are available online right now, and most fans know of that thanks to this site and others out there, and still arent sold out. If they are shelfwarming in a warehouse somewhere, I dont think TRU would think its a great idea to have them shelfwarm in their actual stores where that space could be used for toys that sell better (like Leader class Powermaster Prime or the deluxes). Not saying thats smart thinking, but I can easily see how they would think that way and thus perpetuate that.

Are you sure that won't drain your SG Prime funds?

o.supreme wrote:Well I got my CW Computron yesterday. (had some rewards points with TRU to bring the price down), not quite as nice as the current 20% HTS is offering but oh well...hindsight and all that...
Anyway...it is ok I guess. I hate the feet though, I cannot get this guy to stand straight, have to put him in some very awkward positions. I guess if anything, having both computrons side-by-side my 10 year old son can see first hand why the TT UW-08 is far superior. But it was part of my plan all along to get them both, this is the only combiner I will have both UW & CW as part of my Perfect combiner army. But CW Computron will be dubbed "Betatron" to differentiate him, because he seemingly was a beta test from Hasbro that TT finished properly.

Back when they first revealed the Constructicons in North America Hasbro had half-jokingly made a comment (might have been a Seibertron video interview) about repainting them into the RID 2001 Build Team, which inadvertently got fans excited about the prospect of something that would never be.
