How about a damn voyager, which is LONG overdue.
Pipes was a given. Where is Kickback? How about Reflector as a legends? How about a friggin Brawn?? Or a Seaspray? Instead we get a few obscure characters.

Oh, hmm, don't tell me he turns into a car or something. Those are strange looking arms, though...

Gearslide wrote:So, Scattershot's totally gonna be a retool of Silverbolt, right?
It's almost like Silverbolt was designed with the future retool in mind.

Sabrblade wrote:Would Hasbro really retool Silverbolt into Scattershot on top of the already planned retool of Silverbolt into Cyclonus?
But how many molds have been given more than one Sandstorm/Chromia-level retool from Hasbro at mass retail within the same line in recent years?shockblast2 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Would Hasbro really retool Silverbolt into Scattershot on top of the already planned retool of Silverbolt into Cyclonus?
Of course they would. They would break that mold with retools and repaints if it keeps them from designing and purchasing a new mold. I can tell you first hand they are not cheap.

Yeah, but, as far as we can tell, Optimus Maximus might not being any different from the Optimus mold tooling-wise aside from just a new non-combiner head, which is hardly comparative to Silverbolt being given two completely different Sandstorm/Chromia-level retools to make both Cyclonus and Scattershot.Gearslide wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Would Hasbro really retool Silverbolt into Scattershot on top of the already planned retool of Silverbolt into Cyclonus?
Well, the Optimus Prime mold is getting three uses already, no?
We're getting Motormaster now, and that White repaint called "Optimus Maximus" or whatever down the road.

I'm not. Because the Classics line is dead and there will not be a classics Shockwave in the near future. 3pt is your only hope for that, unless you want to continue to shoehorn. Not that Hasbro will never go back to it, but by that time, it will be a whole new Classics of Classics of G1.....
I just find it funny that one of the most popular characters never made it to the Classics line. That must really piss off G1 classics collectors........
And that is the beauty of G3. You are not trying to collect a preset roster of figures and getting bent out of shape when they do not release a certain character. You can take them or leave them, because this new generation is so different than G1.
Mr. Chaos pulled out a listing for it as being the wavemate of Hot Spot.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Yeah, but, as far as we can tell, Optimus Maximus might not being any different from the Optimus mold tooling-wise aside from just a new non-combiner head, which is hardly comparative to Silverbolt being given two completely different Sandstorm/Chromia-level retools to make both Cyclonus and Scattershot.Gearslide wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Would Hasbro really retool Silverbolt into Scattershot on top of the already planned retool of Silverbolt into Cyclonus?

Did we ever get official confirmation for a Cyclonus, much less out of Silverbolt or are we all speculating based on a single image?
