I actually don't have Defensor yet, or any of the Combiner Wars stuff yet in fact, my budget is kinda tight.

I know the feels. I have Superion and Menasor, but probs won't be getting Defensor until the fall. I cannot for the life of me find G1 Megatron for less than $50 anywhere, and all my stores have Armada Megs, but not G1. Plus, I'm looking for Magnus in the fall too. Now that it's official, I will probs get the 4 limbs and Optimus to make Ultra Prime hopefully

Yeah I am hoping to get Cyclonus and some limbs of my choice, just so I have a CW gestalt finally. I am REALLY excited about Ultra Magnus though! And Devastator!

Cyclonus shall be mine. I am working on my Lost Light crew, and this Cyclonus looks really good to me. DEVASTATOR! He is on my Christmas list. I want him soooo bad. I will have all my "G1" Combiners!

Devastator is my absolute FAVORITE COMBINER EVAR!

At this point, DEFENSOR is my favorite. Badass name, many different components, and He looks frikkin awesome

Hey guys, in case none of you know yet, TakaraTomyMall wrote on their website that the Deluxe Groove mold they made is exclusive to their site bought as a box st and this particular mold will not see a release overseas. This is unlike the other 2 extra limbs (slingshot and wildrider) who do not have this disclaimer on their page.

It is unsure if this is a mold made and designed by Takara alone. The use of clear plastic and dual guns hints towards this being an inhouse product and not something Hasbro would pick up.

Well. I ordered my Quickslinger. Bbts has both of them in stock but one per customer. Which is kinda awesome. Anyway, can't wait to have an all jet superion. Not getting breakneck. I really like off-road and I don't care if he's not 100% G1

Me too. Sale of the figs opened at midnight EDT, and as of 45 minutes later, both are still available in stock. If they sell out overnight, BBTS will be doing another big release at 10-AM, if anyone wants to snag one of these.

I got my Brake-Neck from Amazon, so I'm set on both. Been fiddling with the Protectobots too. It would, indeed, be kinda bummer news if we couldn't get the Takara Groove...

BBTS put both Quickslinger and Brake Neck on their site at 12:01 today. For the first Fourty minutes the site was going slow and kept freezing. Somewhere around 12:50 am, the site went a bit quicker.

Was able to order One Brake Neck and One Quickslinger from the BBTS site.

Think it was a smart move by BBTS to limit the ordering of One item per person for the toys. As it makes sure more get at least One each. Limiting to one per person also make it harder for the scalpers to profit off of this.

I find it very hard to believe Hasbro won't make deluxe Groove available through the same sources as Quickslinger and Brake-Neck. Not only are they disappointing their market (who are still mostly going to get Rook because it's a cool mold that fits well with the team) but they are also passing up on making money, and that makes no sense as this is Hasbro we are talking about. They are all about the Benjamins.

Maybe it just won't be available this year. Maybe they will wait until next year in the hopes of maximizing profits by making sure everyone buys Rook first because of the uncertainty of Groove's availability.

Another possibility is that Hasbro wants to release Afterburner first and then do a minor retool of that into Groove, thus leaving the Takara G1 style figure as a Japan exclusive while still eventually giving everyone else a reasonable option.

It didn't go up with no warning. TFW had this message on their front page news site Yesterday Seven hours before 12:01 am, Alerting fans.

Just now 4:54 PM May 21, our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store posted an update to their Facebook detailing how the Combiner Wars Quickslinger and Brake-Neck will be made available. The update gives the pricing - $17.99 each - along with stating there will be a one-per-customer limit. Most important is that there is a solid release window for these going online to order, which is 12:01 am on May 22nd. If you miss that, don't worry - BBTS will be posting a second wave at 10am EST on May 22nd.

There were also rumors last week. That May 22nd was the official release date. for BBTS and maybe other sites to list and sell CW Break Neck and Quickslinger.

Ah, Quickslinger (Slingshot) and Brake-Neck (Wildrider), you've finally come along to G1-ify our Superions and Menasors.

And now both BBTS and TFSource get their listings out there for all to shop! (It should also be noted that they both played by the rules and followed the street date of 5/22 (AKA May Mayhem) while Amazon and Walmart did not.)

What I dont get is why everyone keeps saying they want the autobot combiner from the G1 masquerade episode ? There was no autobot combiner portrayed in that episode. There was only a 2nd "menasor" portrayed in that episode that happened to be Autobots using their own special powers to create this illusion. Winchargers electric field provided the static electricity to hold them together. And Mirages hollogram powers provided the disguise. There was no Autobot combiner. It was an illusion. We never saw what was under the hologram. And even if you have a vivid enough imagination that you want to "pretend" that this was what was under the hologram, they used the wrong autobots. So its not even a homage to the masquerade episode. Its just a really lazy repaint. Ironhide with no window on his chest ? Cmon now ? Sorry to be such a killjoy, but I stand by my opening comment. These repaints are really going to suck...

Mirgae's holograms? No. That would be Hound, who wasn't part of that combiner. Mirage was, and his "power" is invisibility.

Besides Mirage's invisibility, he can actually change how he appears, albeit in limited duration. Mirage aka Dragstrip (re-watch the show Masquerade again) and you'll hear Mirage state so...about maintaining the Menasor head.

I always took Mirage's Line "and I can hold this phoney face" to be a thinly veiled complaint abou having to look like Dragstrip, as there was never any other insinuation that his power was anything other than just invisibility.
