I always wondered what the slot numbers would be for the returning members.

Quickslinger is 4 of 5 correctly in place of Alpha Bravo:

They didn't have any image of Dead End in leg mode for the diagram, so Hasbro did the next best thing lazy thing and had him take the spot of his mold mate.

So under that numbering system, Menasor's proper makeup would be Motormaster, Offroad, Brake-neck, Breakdown, and Dragstrip. I want to see this now. It's probably less spectacular than I'm imagining.

Well I just got this from UPS, decided to take pics in the park. He's nice, though I honestly like Alpha bravo as an individual better; i've joked but he is the hero; and to be the hero he needs to be separate from superion. I think when I get Firefly and Air-raid i'm going to come back to the fountain and take pics of the original limbs as a barber shop quartet.

I think AB plays the hero very well. He's the 6th team member who flies in with his Gatling guns blazing, laying down cover fire. And if one of the limbs goes down, AB is there to fill in for support, while as an arm he adds his rapid-fire power to save the day.

Badically, he's Tommy as a limb instead of a torso.

I would love to see both the Combaticons and Predacons.

Thanks for all the info... Excited about the opportunity to get a decent Bruticus without taking a huge hit in the checking account.
I'll be curious to see Trailbreaker since I skipped the most recent version... But I'm happy enough with my Hasbro and Henkei versions of all of the deluxe Autobots that were listed.
Shouldn't be too tempted by those new ones!

So my Brake-Neck showed up today, and I really dig him even though I think his face is almost a little too human looking.
And as far as Motormaster and Dragstrip, I freakin' caved and have pre-ordered the Unite Warriors Menasor...
Which I'm sure I'll be very happy with. I just couldn't pass up those (imo) highly improved paint jobs!!

Thankfully I think I'll be able to settle for Hasbro's versions of the Combaticons.
And Constructicons for that matter.

Has there been any explaination for the reasoning behind this one? I mean... we already have an Optimus without any arms and legs designated for it... so It's not like they NEED 'maximus' for all these autobot limbs.

Is he part of a game or comic I haven't seen before? Something that's been fan demanded for some reason?

Seems redundant. at the end of the day, we'll STILL have a torso without limbs... unless we buy extras for some reason.

Well, Cyclonus is also a limbless torso so it's not like Prime is the only one. And no, there is so far not any place where this white prime which connects to limbs idea could come from or reference. What I think, is that they are maximising (OOOH!) their use of the molds. You make Prime a combiner because he sells well (and it's in the comics, thats a bonus), but you make a redeco be the recommended usage of those limbs (as the marketing shows). Also, I feel that this is a way to ensure that there is a combining prime at the beginning and end of the year for parents to buy (especially at Christmas) and they are made differently to not make the fans see it as a lower product output and to give them some more diversity. That's my take on things.

We'll know more by BotCon or at the latest the SDCC. I didn't add the Fan Built Combiner Victorion with her 6 members, but she's planned to be revealed at SDCC, and will be released next year.
