It would: blue is Autobot, purple is Decepticon. Kinda like red is Autobot and green is Decepticon back in Energon.
Drag Strip has none, but as a Combiner limb it's understandable. Missed chance om making an Energon Sword for Menasor tho.

Maybe Motormaster comes with that

I've got a prediction. If what we do get is a reissue of Netflix Soundwave as the Voyager Class "Soundwave PR" listing in Legacy, it'll come with a clear blue plastic Rumble/Frenzy to be his "Energon Weapon." In Studio Series 86, maybe the Core Class Rumble listing will turn out to be a two-pack of "Legacy Rumble/Frenzy" in solid plastic with the traditional Blue/Violet and Red/Black color schemes. We might even get a two-pack of similarly colored Rewind and Eject, as well Steeljaw and Ramhorn, to fill out Blaster's G1 cassette roster. I would rather Soundwave come with traditional G1 toy pack-it of Buzzsaw, as we haven't gotten one at all during the War for Cybertron Trilogy, but all of the Energon Weapons so far seem to be the same clear blue plastic, so actually using the "blue cassette" for Soundwave seems much more likely at this point.

There can't be a clear Rumble with Soundwave, that's not how "package refreshes" work. It's the same release in a new box, the whole point is that they're not offering a new product.

Then, how could they do a package refresh of Netflix Soundwave, which was sold with two Micromasters for $40? Maybe it’ll be Siege Soundwave after all, but why? It doesn’t fit with the new line at all in terms of style, and there is no demand for it. Plus, it wouldn’t have an Energon weapon. They could put one in, but then it’s not “ the same” product anymore, so why not do the more desired Netflix release instead if you have to change up the accessories?

They can do it. They did Earthrise Optimus Prime without the trailer, Ultra Magnus (as Prime) without the armor - a couple other examples I can't think of right now. Are they stricr 'package rereshes'? No. But I don't think there's anything saying they HAVE to sell a mold with all the gang molded parts, even if they put it in a retail box.

There's a lot of ways they could do it, there are already rumors that there will be multiple SS86 releases which are just WfC redecoes. And I could be wrong, maybe the only thing "PR" is for is to confirm there isn't a redeco. That just doesn't track with me. I mean, the whole point of that terminology is to help retailers know what they're ordering. In this case, that doesn't really work at all.
I've seen three basic speculations: Netflix Soundwave, Siege Soundwave, Prime Soundwave. Two have been rumored: Apollux said all the way back in August that he thought they were going to reissue the Netflix one, but he wasn't sure, and I haven't seen any updates from any leakers. JTPrime said he thought it was either Prime or Netflix Soundwave. Others have speculated that it might actually be Siege Soundwave, in part because there's a random "S" in the order form listing, but no leakers have backed that up. It could be any of those, though the conventional wisdom says that it's the Netflix one. I don't think it is for the reasons I mentioned, but if it is, I can't imagine they would mix up the tapes but still call it a package refresh.
But what do I know, nearly every speculative post I've ever made has been wrong.
Yeah I got that. I was just saying if somehow this will be a Prime Soundwave (which I don't think it will be) Hasbro still has an out for getting us yet another G1 Soundwave.william-james88 wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Maybe SS86 Soundwave?

Rodimus Prime wrote:Yeah I gotta agree that Scourge was a grand slam for Hasbro, and I also treat him the way you do, he stays out on display at all times, even if I have to put the others away.
I do think the new Legacy figure will be close though, especially in robot mode. I always thought the Laser Prime mold looked better as Scourge as did all the updates and homages as well. I expect no different for Legacy.
I repurposed the Platinum Edition "Year of the Goat" Optimus Prime as a partial ghost version of Scourge since much of that toy's color palette (basically all of the black, dark gray, and chrome silver parts) seems based more on that of Scourge than anything else, and it does have the electronics restored. Full details in the link above.Overcracker wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Yeah I gotta agree that Scourge was a grand slam for Hasbro, and I also treat him the way you do, he stays out on display at all times, even if I have to put the others away.

Yeah, the mold itself is excellent, but the Scourge color scheme just knocked it out of the park.
There haven't been that many updates for him though?. I think those 2 there are all there is. And yes both of them look better in Black and teal, but as usual those are harder to come by.
I got the Combat Hero version from Reveal the Shield from the Ultimate Giftset, and the TR from the Velocitron Set just for the stickers.
My only shall we say issue with Scourge is the lack of electronics. Removed for R.I.D, while the original Laser Prime has them.

I initially felt the same since I thought his deco was just so ugly and unappealing. That is, until I got the idea to repurpose him as Ghost Scourge since I had no desire to own that figure as another Optimus.Overcracker wrote:For the longest time I was considering picking him up, but I just never pulled the trigger on him.

The clear parts made it work as a ghost for me, and while the caramel was ugly as Prime, it worked perfectly as traces of Scourge's decayed undead body having become RUST.-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I initially felt the same since I thought his deco was just so ugly and unappealing. I could have picked him up for relatively cheap countless times but I already had the OG Laser Prime and I hated all that caramel colors on the Platinum.
Why clear and caramel?
