Just got the damn e-mail from Fartmart that they "are having problems locating Swerve" If they can not deliver the item by Sat Sept 1st, they will cancel the order and refund the money.

Don't you think that it's a bit presumptuous that they think, that I think, that if it can't be delivered on time I don't want it? I never said that.

I don't understand their wording, or their logic.

Oh wait! It's Walmart. I guess I'm being presumptuous thinking they prescribe to logic. SILLY ME!

EDIT: Just got the same email for Tailgate. My account does show Starscream has shipped though.

Talked to rep just now. I asked if they are getting more devy in and he said they are working on getting more stock. Yesterday I talked to a rep (online chat each time) was told I have 10 days for them to fulfill my order until it gets canceled automatically. I read on another forum that someone had 10 days but got canceled on the 7th day (I think for a different tf, cant remember), so I hope thats not the case for my devy and that it will get shipped before being canceled. I cant take setting 13 alarms to check my phone every night. I live on the west side and go to bed late at night to visit my dad when he gets home from work (I dont see him very often because of night shift) so I try to keep up with everyone who is on the east side and gets up at a decent hour lol. I also found out people have been receiving some of their tfs in terrible condition due to terrible packaging and handling. One guy got two hot rods in a mail bag you put tshirts in and they were completely smushed. WHY WALMART!? WHY!?

Also, the guy today told me "dont worry we are working hard on getting your order filled." I asked if my order is canceled after 10 days will I still receive a shipping confirmation so I wont have to repeat this process? "No worries we are working hard on getting an order confirmation for you. Is there anything else I can help you with?" I just said no thats it. I also tried asking if they can extend over 10 days because I can wait however long. He said its automatic and that there are no guarantees.

Given how oversized his null rays are, those springs have less "springy force" over the default ones used in the TFC and Encore versions to take into consideration child safety laws.

Devs on the other hand,have smaller missile parts, so it is different situation I guess.

Indeed. Current Toy Safety Laws state that any missiles or other projectiles that could constitute a choking hazard have to be a certain length (2 to 3 inches I believe?). The Commemorative Series of reissues back in 2002 had those lengthened, that includes the G1 Seeker mold. Any new-mold reissue after that have the launchers totally neutered just to prevent retooling the missiles to a rather silly size. So in short, we could expect any reissue to have neutered launchers, unless they had an adapted release back in the Commemorative Series.

I'm actually a bit surprised we have them of that type, they've been all but eliminated in other lines for years now.

My Tailgate just got canceled that i ordered on Saturday. Swerve is still nebulous with a hypothetical delivery date of 9/7.

All my preorders except for SS got canceled. All my re-orders when they went in stock have now been also canceled (and they've gone in & out of stock since my reorders). I'm resolved to the fact that I'll have to pay a scalper on eBay 2x - 3x the original price for these.

Please email Hasbro to let them know to deal with a better store that understands basic supply & demand principles in the future.

The question is, was it in good condition? If not, it could very well be a return to the store that was put on the shelf. I returned a SS to a Walmart store and wouldn't be surprised if someone found that on the shelf.

Yes, yes! I did indeed find a Starscream inside a Cali Walmart store. He was just sitting there by himself. There was no noticeable damage to either the box, or the toy inside, so I can't say if it was a returned item or not. None of the other G1 reissues were in sight at all. I knew this was basically a freak occurrence of sorts, so I grabbed the box and split. Paid 'round $38-ish for it. That was a good hunt... Apologies, I didn't keep the receipt.

I can tell you its a return, 100%. Because its starscream. If it was another, maybe not, but Stasscream is the one that started shipping a week before you reported your finding. And many people on this very board bought several either to:
1. pick the best one
2. get free shipping
3. guarantee they get one

And then return them. There have been several reports of single starscreams being found. The fact that he ships 6 per case means that its impossible all reports only ever find 1 in a store. So its a return.

Here is a perfect example of someone returning starscream to the store and why even finding 3 doesnt confirm stores are getting these:

Yes a lot of people have gotten delay/cancellation emails. My SS was cancelled but I placed an order for 2 last week that is delayed. As a precaution, I ordered 2 more. My Devy is on back order but my friend said his was cancelled. Walmart is the absolute worst. I really wish Amazon did all exclusives.

Received the same email for Tailgate and Outback. But I have 4 SS on the way and Devy shipped not long ago. Everything else in limbo.

The plot thickens. Both orders of SS, including the one that is supposedly delayed, has shipped. I should have 4 G1 SS by Friday. Thankfully I'll be near a Walmart this weekend to return 3.

Sorry, news would be if there was proof that these were being distributed to stores and we have no proof of that at the moment. Newsing somethign like this would just confuse people and possibly spread misinformation.
