We've recently had a rather excellent Wreck-Gar toy (with an extra opportunity to get it in Platinum Series). This really should have been another character. Igaunus, Roadpig, Override.... ect.

Thanks for those! The bot mode comparison pic with big Wreck Gar was awesome. It screams for a caption. "Now son, drink your milk and grow up to be big and strong, like me!" (I'm scratching my brain to come up with a good, recognizable television quote with a father and son....)

Nothing comes to mind atm, but maybe something Ward once said to the Beaver might fit.Agamemnon wrote:(I'm scratching my brain to come up with a good, recognizable television quote with a father and son....)

He does look much better in that light; you can see the contrast between orange and yellow, not to mention the red paint on his front and rear sides (which I didn't even know he had before).sagia wrote:If You would like to see more natural lighting photos of this figure, please visit my website:

Orange has got to be the worst color to photograph (with white a close second).

"Today, we're gonna teach a poodle how to fly!"
Points available.

I'm all for updates to non-G1 characters, but for some of those cases I feel that some of the originals are already good enough that I feel those ones don't need updating. Ransack's original toy really just needs its rear wheel pieces assembled correctly and maybe some better paint apps (or any, in regards to its key), so I feel just a reissue of the original with more paint and the wheel fixed would be satisfying enough (as I missed out on both the original Hasbro Ransack and Takara Gasket; I have the show-inaccurate Ransack GTS, though).Hellscream9999 wrote:Megatron Wolf wrote:This mold should've been turned into cybertron ransack not wreckgar, really getting tired of hasbros obsession with G1 & IDW. I really don't need a Ransack that looks more a like red Groove instead of Ransack and turns into a combiner piece the original didn't turn into.

Except groove transforms like cyb ransack, so it's more of a case of groove looking like a white re-design of cyb ransack, so an homage to him would've been nice

That's kinda what I'm feeling. Maybe not a whole army, but he doesn't have to be Gar. Just some little Junkion pip squeak.Ultra Markus wrote:i wouldnt call this wreck-gar but i could see building a junkion army with many of this figure
Edit: Might be cool to give him the Off Road mold ax.

o.supreme wrote:^Perfect. So then... I assume since on the packaging for Legends Wreck-Gar (pictured above) states he combines with Sky Reign, then said instructions on the inside would show how? Yes?
If not, then this would be a first for Hasbro, advertising a designed combination on the package, but then not providing instructions for said combination on the instruction sheet. I mean... I know he is not officially out yet, but since a few people seem to have him already, can we not get a scan of his instruction sheet?
The actual packaging does not have the "form to combine" label on it. It looks like Amazon got the old stock photos before the change went out to retail.

Weird, I've always felt like Hasbro should do more with IDW themes and characters. H3ll it's like 5 years since LSOTW's and we still haven't got a decent Overlord...... That leader Class line should've been made for characters like him IDW Scorponok and Sixshot for that matter!

Well it's not like Wreck-Gar needed updating either, much less as a Legends. (nor did half of the Combiner Wars line, for that matter)
Only problem with Ransack is that he needs a Crumplezone to go with!
I was actually thinking Armada Sideways as a repaint myself, especially given the silhouette around his head. He wouldn't be a headmaster, but it's not like we'd see one in Titans Returns anyways....

However this does beg the question... Every Combiner so far has had by design a Legends figure that forms either a weapon or a chest piece for a Combiner. Will Sky Reign have one? Or will he be the exception? (Stripes, Rewind, or Wheelie)... Probably not. I'm thinking Sky Lynx unique design as a torso proved quite problematic for Hasbro, thus no Legends class figure functionality. Though it would be nice if Hasbro did come up with something official.
I mean c'mon guys, you could have even reused the Powerglide mold as a gun, and just changed his color scheme and name. (Change him to Grey and call him Leader One, or give him Tiger stripes and call him Tiger Rat)

Powerglide, nothin', they could've given us the Viper mold again

Not all of them do. Ultra Prime and Betatron have no Legends partners assigned to them, having "spare torsos" in the form of Optimus Prime and Scattershot. What's funny is that Cyclonus can be considered a "spare torso" as well, yet Galvatronus has Viper assigned to him.
I guess that would even things out with Sky Reign having no partner?

Nothing official, nor does he really have an undercarriage conducive to being slapped onto someone's chest; but who knows, maybe you should Cobo on that

Ha! Ya I have fiddled with Warpath in an attempt to come up with something, but couldn't. The asymmetrical nature of his gun barrel kept throwing me off. Doesn't mean it can't be done, though.

If Cobo can't, then no one canWell I'm glad I've earned a reputation for CW tom foolery.
I've integrated Warpath into Superion.

Of course, it just looks like Superion is holding and pointing a toy tank...

Yeah I never considered UP & Betatron to be true combiners because they are hodge-podges. The only reason Galvatronus is legitimized now (in my mind) is because UW-06(Grand Galvatron) is making him so. I basically bought Viper for him.
But yeah, Sky Reign having no Legends figure to go with him, is not a deal breaker, just makes him different.

The pegs on his arms will plug into the ports under sky lynx's wings if you point them inwards, it all fits together very smoothly

Nice, I bet tav override would look great combined with sky reign like that.

actually the video review of Sky Reign over at tformers did just that.
Speaking of Transformers Adventure...I ignored this line at first thinking it was merely the TT equivalent of Hasbro's RiD15 line. I did not know *random* CW figures, and some completely new toys would be thrown in there as well. Is there a comprehensive list somewhere online? I'd like to see what CW figures (I'm guessing Legends mostly) are all in the TAV line.
