TFC Toys has responded to the complaints about their recent release of Heavylabor. For those that may not know, there is a gear in Heavylabor's legs that is misaligned as well as a poorly-assembled joint that strips the gear should you try to move the leg.

TFC Toys has placed the following message on their Facebook Page

TFC Toys wrote:We know many of our customers reported the problem of the hip joints of Heavylabor. For now we decided to remake the parts for all the Heavylabor customers.

However due to the time of model editing and the factory schedue, we may include the parts in the upcoming Dr. Crank or Structor.

Meanwhile in case of preventing the problem of the parts cannot reach to our customers like last time, we will have a better changing proposal.

For more detail please keep in touch to our future update, we will upload the picture of the new part soon.

Thank you for supporting TFC TOYS!

There are guides for fixing the problems; but for the time being, it is this news member's recommendation that until the parts are received and distributed that you leave Heavylabor either in his box, or as un-played with as possible.

Actually, you can play with it/transform it all you want...you just don't want to pose the top legs joints forward or back, which isn't necessary for transformation. You can widen and close the legs, those joints are fine, just not forward or back joints.

Mine is still sitting in my POL. While they seem to be having minor QC issues, TFC looks like they are handling it rather well.

I'm sure they couldn't account for ALL things that might go wrong with the figure....

I continue to be highly impressed with TFC Toys and their dedication to this project. You may not like the price. You may not like the look of them. But you really should give TFC respect for how they're handling such an ambitious piece.

Indeed. If the same were to ever happen with a Hasbro figure, they'd simply just shrug their collective shoulders.

It's great that they are addressing these concerns, all well and good. I don't deny that, but for the price being paid for this set, this is underwhelming.

This is TWO in a row that requires repairs and future shipped replacement parts. What's going to end that trend? And let's say it continues on...what happens when you get to robot #6 and there's no future offering to pack replacement parts in.

And please don't tell me it's impossible, because it quite clearly is.

This is why I'm not an early adopter anymore. I wait to see the outcome before I buy, now. Oh and one thing in Hasbro's favor... Yeah, they don't care about stuff like this, but at least you can find a replacement to make fixes with. Not too many shops are willing to replace a $100.00 figure for one stripped gear or things like that. BBTS is the exception to the norm. Give it time, they'll stop that too.

Well, at least they care enough to give out replacement parts. But on the other hand ... for $100 you'd think they could do better QC. Seriously, guys didn't this come up at the prototype stage?

Still compare this to some of HasTak's MPs and I gotta say TFC treats you better.

Aaand... if we couldn't see them because we don't have an account, hotlinking to the attachments at TFW helps us exactly how?

Yeah it is good to hear that TFC is looking to correct the problems and do right by the customers/fans. BUT, it is some what discouraging that for something that cost so f*cking much for those that bought the current available figs that QC should have been assured and a top priority. I hope MakeToys is taking some good notes...'nuff said! :VEHI:

This is one of the reasons i was against 3rd party stuff .I not going to bad mouth them again :-$ (i leaned my lesson ) ,but really if you are paying the high cost ,you should get better quality than ones from Hasbro .Now i am hearing Heavy Labor also looks bad in Dumb Truck mode (you can see his arms ?? ) not a big deal to me ,but i don't own him ,you guys do .But buyer beware .At least Hasbro is a company that, maybe not perfect ,but if you have a problem they try there best ,and does not close shop if the cost of repairs/replacements gets to high . :ic$: :ic$: :KREMZEEK:

True, it's easy to find a replacement for the majority of Hasbro figures, but why would you pay twice for the same figure just to get replacement parts? And in the case of MP-09, that's not a cheap thing to do. Why not just exchange it? It shouldn't matter how much a figure costs: if it's faulty then it's faulty. Surely they're obliged to exchange it.

As far as I can tell, the replacement Exgraver digger is the same as the original and I've had no problems with either. Agree with them or not, TFC Toys seemed to suggest broken digger arms were a result of improper use by the customer. Despite this, they provided replacement diggers to all of us faeces flinging, knuckle dragging apes for no extra cost and without the hassle of returning the original.

As for what happens if there's a problem with the sixth and final figure: when TFC announced Heavy Labor would come with a replacement digger, they also said that anyone not intending to get that figure could contact them directly requesting the new digger.

I can't hold it against them that the figures have issues as mistakes happen, but regarding how they're handling them, I simply couldn't expect more.

The plastic around the joint on the black base part is thicker on the replacement. This is where the cracking has occured.
