I wonder if he clips into Seaspray's alt mode, or if he just happens to fit the available space. Doesn't matter, I suppose.

Oh, I have, but this looks like a much better fit for the name.

Small, cheap and fun.
Perfect for those of us who don't have much money to spend!

I like the alt mode, but I dislike the robot mode (keeping in mind my ideal robot mode is, well, standing right behind him). He's supposed to connect to Sea Spray, right? I wonder how well the connection is. Skystalker can sit on Mindwipe's shoulder all adorable minion like, as well as dock in alt modes, but Breacher doesn't seem to have pegs or anything.

So far, he's the only scout I'm looking forward to getting.

ITA. The major thing that has kept me away from the movie figures are the insect-looking heads. I understand they're aliens, but that doesn't mean they have to look ugly.
Also, this is easily the best looking scout figure in the line. The rest look cheap & ugly.

He reminds me of a Decepticon Micromaster. His name was Growl or Bombshock or something like that. The was an armored-car-ish thing. I do think Breacher is a cool name though as well.
I know it's probably just the perspective of the camera in the photo, but he looks enormous compared to Bonecrusher there. Like nearly the same size. Again, I'm sure it's just the camera angle, but he looks way big.

HECTOR wrote:Can anyone think of a G1 character that looks like this guy? I'd love to repaint or mod him into someone for my classics/universe collection but I can't think of anyone. His alt mode reminds me of Doubledealer but this figure is a bit small for him. Any other ideas?
Prime Evil wrote:I'll actually be keeping his name as Breacher. He doesn't really look like anyone else and well, he's NEW!
I did a quick tfu.info search, cause I knew he looked similar to a Micro. But then I saw another Micro that looked more like him, and well, he's almost a shoe in for Dropshot....

....except he's an Autobot!!! GAHH!!!! This doesn't make sense! Dropshot was in Universe 2.0 as a missile truck, which actually would have fit another Micro better. Yet now they made a mold in a pretty decent size that would be the perfect stand in(even if they didn’t add green and red to his head), and they make him an Autobot!!
Oh, they could repaint him as a Decepticon, but he wouldn’t be blue, and thus the homage would be lowered a peg.
Really Hasbro, really?

That's the one. Thanks for reading my mind Duke!

Oh sweet, and too bad the Hasbro keeps on shuffling con and bot names around. But man is that on point...Hmmmm.

I don't think it's going to be much of an actual connection, I think he was just designed to be carried in the back of Seaspray's alt mode.
Edit: Looks like in Japan he was an Autobot:

kirbenvost wrote:Dropshot, eh... well, that's kind of odd. I guess he defected to the Autobots since G1. Yeah. That's how I'll justify it.
Ok, I think I may have jumped the gun slightly.
Ya see, when typing my post, I forgot that during the early 90's Takara released nearly every Micromaster as an Autobot. This included the Decepticon Military Patrol, so Dropshot was an Autobot over there(during the "Return of Convoy" line).
So in effect, Breacher can still be used as Dropshot in a Classics collection, so long as you follow the Japanese/Takara continuity.
However, I am partial to the Hasbro Micrmaster mythology(despite never owning the figure), so I'm still annoyed Breacher isn't a 'Con.
Am I being complicated and convoluted? Probably.

This looks like a very nice and solid figure...and his vehicle mode looks like a drone of some sort, like MindWipe's partner.

well if it bugs ya that much, you can always get a decepticon symbol sticker, and put it over the autobot logo on the toy. BOOM! instant decepticon
