After G1 season 1 I see very little for the true fans who were there at the beginning. Transformers has been a joke ever since the end credits of "Heavy Metal War".

I'm pretty sure a "true fan" would have found something to love about Transformers in the 30 years following its inception, besides the initial fistful of episodes.

I hope Shout! Factory announces The Transformers: The Movie Bluray stateside release. Does that kind of thing happen at this sort of party?

Yeah, a "true fan" appreciates everything Transformers has done, even if he/she is not a fan of everything.

You're right. There's been TFTM and a few episodes of G1 S2 and 3 that stand out, but otherwise everything that has come afterwards has been a pale imitation of G1 S1. Cartoons aimed exclusively towards 6yr olds with half the G1 cast renamed, misrepresented or missing. Nowadays Transformers needs Bayformers just to stay afloat! I would bet money that the 40th anniversary of Transformers will pass with very little fan fair, if any at all.

40? Why not 50?

Also I had a fantasy that one day, Hasbro is going to re-release Transformers toys from G1, G2, Beast Era, RID, Armada, etc. Hasbro and Takara toys. As you fans may know that'll never happen and that's why I have given up on it. Miracles, sometimes, don't happen. :-(
