You're right. There's been TFTM and a few episodes of G1 S2 and 3 that stand out, but otherwise everything that has come afterwards has been a pale imitation of G1 S1. Cartoons aimed exclusively towards 6yr olds with half the G1 cast renamed, misrepresented or missing. Nowadays Transformers needs Bayformers just to stay afloat! I would bet money that the 40th anniversary of Transformers will pass with very little fan fair, if any at all.
