It's semi-official, as this came from the designer himself.

I would love it if they designed a bike with spider legs like that 3p figure, I would love a chance to get a version of that design as Airachnid

Reflector actually looks pretty cool as a camera, not sure how stable he holds together, but shocky's arms seem to tab together very nicely. The black on his arms help sell the camera mode and it looks like a slightly neo-futuristic take on a modern photographers camera, with the extended lens and such, nice job on that

Would love to get him, but I doubt that would happen, any chance bbts would get these for a reasonable price?

I would say I can't believe that they'd be this f*cking lazy, and that I'm shocked at their money-grubbing in trying to make you pay extra for stickers (STICKERS) that are basically essential for the toy to look complete... but I can and I'm not. It's Funpub, what did we expect?

I sincerely hope some Chinese mold thieves make knockoffs of the toy, improve it with better paint and a better headsculpt, and release it for half the price. I'd buy it just to spite you. I understand what you mean, but I do feel that is quite a subjective matter. Personally I adore that mold's 2-headed dragon mode- in fact I feel it's the "signature" alt mode.

I hear that, and it does suck hard, which is why I only spoke for myself (though, you gotta admit, with 12 modes, you should be able to be happy with 11 properly painted ones )

It seems entirely possible that the lack of eyes was a factory error that was too late to fix and FunPub's stickers are damage control. I highly doubt FP would deliberately leave out that particular paint app.

And what the hell are you going on about the stickers for would you rather them just have the retail CW Silverbolt, Ironhide and Prowl reused at an expensive price or just a 5 dollar sticker pack?

It's a $90 collectible made in very small quantities. I shouldn't HAVE to paint it myself. It isn't a model kit. Unpainted detail is bad enough on a retail figure, but on a severely limited, highly anticipated exclusive? It's bloody inexcusable.

I wasn't talking about the stickers for the Magnaboss components. I was talking about Transmetal 3 Megatron. A set of exclusive stickers to turn a set of regular retail figures into something else is one thing. A supposed collector's item going for $90 using stickers (an antiquated and extremely poor method of detailing figures, especially small details like eyes)- and then expecting you to pay even MORE money for them to buy them separately- is daylight robbery.

Does anyone know if we'll be getting a official guide for those stickers? I'd really like know where they go before I use them (if I do).

Realists. He still has eyes, it's not like they aren't sculpted in.

And really, we're somehow sub-human for defending something as minor as not painting the eyes on a figure that uses them in one of 11 modes? What an immature reaction. I've got a bunch of modern Takara Tomy Transformers that come with stickers to finish the figures. I guess they're garbage too.

What if the eyes actually are painted, but because the hue is so close to the red he has it just looks like he has unpainted eyes from a glance?

I certainly wouldn't buy them if they need stickers. Stickers for detail should have been phased out for good in the 80s. They rub off, peel, and if they get anything at all on the adhesive surfaces then they won't stick. If it's the Arms Micron line you're referring to then yeah, they are garbage. The model-kit element was fine, but removing every single paint app from the figures in favour of stickers? No.

And I'm sorry, but for $90 I shouldn't be given an incomplete figure. I thought the whole point of exclusives was that they offered a premium product? Because not painting the f*cking eyes on the dragon heads is not something I'd expect from a premium product.

I don't care. It's $90, or in my case nearly £65. That's a lot of money. If they expect us to pay that much then it better be perfect. Yes, I COULD paint it myself, but I shouldn't have to. It's the principle of the thing as much as anything else, and the precedent it sets. Let them skimp on this and they'll keep on seeing how much they can get away with. "Oh, they won't mind if we don't paint the eyes!" "Nah, they'll be fine if he doesn't come with any weapons!" "Who cares if you have to buy the head for $10 extra?".

Was I a bit overzealous in implying that Hasbro/Funpub apologists were subhuman? Perhaps. But they are definitely idiots.

And in all your ranting and raving you completely ignored my proposition. What sounds more likely: that FunPub decided "you know what? We'll skip the eyes on this premium figure's most iconic alt mode and just give it stickers, people love stickers!" or "Crap, the factory didn't paint in the eyes and it's too late to send them back to be fixed. What can we do? Hey, we're already putting out a sticker sheet for Magnaboss, let's include some eye stickers on there. It's better than just leaving it with no eyes." Occam's razor, my friend.
