I like it too, all things set aside. It makes a good arm for me, and Sunstreaker really pulls off the look well for it. It works for me :BOT:

I think it's got a fairly solid robot mode, an unremarkable but competent vehicle mode, and a great sword-gun. To me, arm mode is where it's weakest, since the single elbow joint can't hold up the forearm, let alone weapons, though I do give them points for effort. Granted, turning at the waist so that the arm works the same way as other combiner wars limbs would probably make the problem go away, but for some reason I don't want to do that.

I don't necessarily think the mold is right for Ravage, nor am I thrilled with the head, but since the first part of the Beast Wars homage that they're choosing to showcase is basically all G1 except the Predacon insignias, I'm thinking that's probably the larger issue here.

Quoting this to put it on most recent page as I'd also like to know. The head looks too wide in the mockup to fit where it needs to.

First of all, this Ravage looks really nice, and the Lamborghini inspired alt mode is awesome in black, although the dead end mold probably would have fit better for his robot mode.

Second of all, the theme name seems to strongly suggest the inclusion of the Tripredacus guys. So, with them and Ravage, that would make 4 of the 5 figures already for the combiner. Are there any other characters associated with Tripredacus?

Yes, Tarantulus, he was their spy.

That could be a cool last member, but considering they just did a Tarantulas recently in this style through the subscription service, I doubt they'll do him again this soon. I can't think of anyone else who would fit in at all, but I'm kind of a noob when it comes to beast wars.

Ravage did join up with Megatron in Bast Wars so the body could be a red version of the Skylynx mold redone as dragon Megatron.

I think it's kind of interesting that they didn't show him with the hand/foot gun. Makes me wonder if they're going to have a new combiner accessory and dedicated hands and feet for the combiner similar to Victorion.

Other than Tarantulas, other agents like Ravage include Onyx Primal, Flamewar, and Magmatron.

But, as mentioned, Tarantulas already had a Club figure recently. And so too did Flamewar. But Onyx Primal hasn't had one since 1996 (20 years before 2016), so he could be an option.

As for Magmatron, he isn't likely due to his nature of being one guy formed by three separate altmode pieces like Armada Tidal Wave, so he's likely not doable (and he was only an agent in the IDW Beast Wars comics, whereas the Club fiction is tied to the 3H fiction, which had Magmatron as part of a Dinobot faction instead, so there's that against him as well).

I'd be good with a new Onyx Primal figure, so long as the mold chosen for him is a good enough match.

Although, there is one other character option that might make sense in some way: Trypticon. I mention him only because the Japanese name of the Tripredacus Council happened to be the "Trypticon Council".

Dustup is a retool of Dead End. The chest, in particular is slightly more curvaceous, fitting for a fembot, rather than the flat detailed sculpt of Dead End. That's also Dustup's weapon.

I would say that it would be more akin to the boxsets, while they fluctuate a bit from year to year, I think that it is safe to assume that it'll be $300+; definitely not worth it, especially since we've gotten so many of them;

might save up for the body, if it is megatron from sky lynx, but, I doubt it would be, the mold would be too 'new', wouldn't it? TT blastoff and bigroove might be eligible, for tarantulas and someone else :???:

Well they are using the onslaught mold for bludgeon and even though it's a remold it's still very new so they might be able to use skylynx. I'm going to wait and see what else is coming with it before I make a decision.

Yes, but if he is the last of the 6, then there would be plenty of time between his retail release, TT's use of it, and then the time for funpub to make their specific amount.

ScottyP, Megatron TMII from Sky Lynx would be awesome! That is a great idea.

However, sometimes repaints/remolds are less than exciting and tend to be more mundane. I was thinking that they may do something along the following (not my favorite ideas, but just what I thought might be likely) I know that these aren't necessarily aligned with TriPredacus, but we know that they re-use names and re-write fiction:

Megatron – from Menasor, his T-Rex mode is big and bulky like a semi truck. Straight forward, makes sense. Kind of boring, but it works.

Waspinator - Alpha Bravo. But he just got a Gen figure, but they might not mind the overlap since one is a beast and the other would be a vehicle.

Terrosaur - One of the Aerial bots.

Inferno and or Scorponok – Swindle, or Rook, or Brawl, or Ironhide

Ravage – Dead End

Sabrblade, your Onyx Primal is a very cool idea. One of the Aerial bots.

No please. No beast wars combiners akin to the 84 combiner or THUNDER MAYHEM. How about we just use molds and figures that work for characters, and not focus it on what kinda goofy ass combiner we can make. It's why I **** hate TFSS 4.0, there are better molds for those characters, they didn't have to be a combiner.

I dont know why we are talking about t-rexes and dragons, these are all vehicles. I mean skylynx' "robot mode" is a long neck dinosaur, his alt mode is the space shuttle. I dont see how you can make a megatron out of that. It would turn from a red space shuttle into a red space shuttle with legs and a neck and not have an actual robot mode?

Good point about Skylynx's non-vehicle mode, no robot mode for Megatron. I totally didn't think about that. They will likely not use that mold for Megatron then. But TMII Megatron Dragon did have a robot mode, dragon mode, and a (sort of) vehicle mode. Also Galvatronus is made from Cyclonus so they could, but I don't think it is likely.

We are talking T-Rexes and such to determine color scheme and head sculpt. If my guess is right, what would you prefer, a purple Motormaster for season 1 BW Megatron. Or a bronze Motormaster for season 2 Megatron? Etc, just thinking along those lines.

True they are all vehicles but which beast character are they basing the designs on? True they will have a new alt mode but they are specifically trying to be an exact character.

Throwing this in for the TMII Megs: Using Sky Lynx, they could have it where he was mutated or damaged, and he has a vehicle and beast mode, but now in order to transform to robot mode, he needs to combine, and his combined mode head is his regular TMII head. :BOT:

Re: "Dawn of the Predacus" Ravage revealed from BotCon 2016 set

Motto: "The only good is knowledge, and the only evil is ignorance."
The fictional setting wouldn't work though. If my guess is correct, the title of the box set means it'll be set either before Beast Wars, or in Beast Wars: Uprising. I don't think Megatron would have a dragon-associated form in either setting.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one
