Well, I mean they were both released in 2014, last year had the platinum dinobots, but those are a store exclusive, botcon last year was the 'most wanted' and diaclone stuff, and sdcc was chromed out devs

That being said, ROTF Breakaway is a mold that Fun Pub can use, and is speculated to have been the mold that they were considering for BotCon 2013 Megaplex before the Prime Dreadwing mold became available to them late in the game.

I just realized how much I want Victorion's new hands/feet + weapons for Predacus.

Well, at the very least the weapons:




If you flip the blades of the sword 90 degrees, they could be reminiscent of Beast Wars Tripredacus' wing-claw-arm-thingie.

All the bug parts do make me think of it a little, I think it would be cool to see a sword-based version of his chainsaw-claw

Fellow Seibertronians! From the Botcon 2016 Twitter page We now have new art for the 5 members of Predacus! We have seen images before of both Predacus and General Ramhorn, but we now have art for the remaining 4 members: Tarantulas, Ravage, General SeaClamp and General Cicadacon! Check out these images below, and sound off in the comments section regarding the new art works!

Before anyone complains about Ravage's head, go look at some of the package art from the original Beast Wars figures, and compare it to the toys.


I choose to believe this was intentional, meant as an homage to some of the more... creative package art from that era. I know it's probably not the case, but I'm going to pretend, because I need something to be happy about right now.

well if they're doing beast exclusives for Botcon.......then i dunno why they cannot also give us the dinobots as Botcon exclusives?

And Ramhorn was indeed in Beast Wars: the whole point of this set is to have all the members of the Tripredacus council, plus affiliates, in one single location/figure. You're probably referring to this Ramhorn.

While I'm fine with the idea, no more Dinobots that turn into cars, please. Somebody in another post had the right idea with a Dynobots set. Swap in the Brawl and Rook molds and I'd be interested.

Pretty sure that's not what Stuartmaximus is referring to.
But yes, good point. There's also BW Neo Hardhead and BWII Thrust, all using the same character model.

well seeing as the Tripredicus Council were never named(or at least Ramhorn's name didn't appear on the show) on the actual show(probably named in either the comics or Beast Wars 2....to which i s'pose....not everyone read......or watched! compared to that of Beast Wars).

but yeah, i guess i was referring to the G1 character.

Actually the names came from the toys

They are not named in show other than 'Tripredacus Council'. But there was also a toy called Trippredacus. It's well known that toy is meant to be the council members. Even before I knew that was confirmed, I made the link as a kid. And they were named on the toys. Though I did get Sea Clamp and Cicadacon mixed up on show.

Also, I doubt any fan would want more forced redecos for such iconic characters.

yes but these are those crappy Bayformer things! that people in general(granted not everybody) would rather put out of their minds! regardless of how they're repainted.

i dunno about that? having Combiner Wars figures redone as G1 Dinobots will no doubt have it's target audience(even if it were in the minority).

look! i know i'm derailing the conversation a bit.....but my question was....since they've now done this Dawn Of Predacus figure which ok...is a BotCon exclusive! & pays homage to the likes of Beast Wars....then why can't they do other exclusive sets also utilising retooled/repainted/remolded Combiner Wars figures.....LIKE what i said before.....such as the G1 Dinobots or maybe even Abominus, Monstructor, Piranhacon & Predaking! now if not Botcon...then maybe United Warriors exclusive sets(& as i said before.....i'm sure that there's a target audience for such things).

as for the Dawn Of Predacus set...it's looking pretty nice, plus you just know now that Ramhorn will be repainted/retooled as Nosecone!

Stu, you're getting too emotional on things again. It's quite clear that they won't be doing G1 dinobots for a beast wars themed set. If There Is another combiner coming as part of this set, then it will probably be Magnaboss.

Also, no one wants G1 dinobots that combine, because of the beast...

I'm a little surprised we never got a Grimlock repaint from Universe Dinobot. Seemed like an obvious reuse for the mold.

& what's wrong with being emotional? it just shows my passion for such things!

& just because a bunch of people on ONE WEBSITE!!!! deem my ideas for such Transformers, as a non starter! now granted in the realms of reality.....OF COURSE Hasbro/Takara are not gonna sign off on such things! but it is nice to dream...or at least imagine...the possibility of what might've/could've happened

& you'd be surprised.....other than myself....at how many would've been on board with the idea of Combiner Wars figures redone as G1 Dinobots or Combiner Wars Piranhacon, Abominus, Predaking ect.
