10th anniversary upgrade for PS2's Armada game. Yay or Nay?

After 10 years, I finally wore out my disc for the PS2 Armada game. I'm on my 2nd PS2, and I need to get a new copy of the PS2 game. Made me think, would an upgrade to PS3 or PS4 make this game wanted again? If so, what upgrades would you want? Was it a hit with fans in the 1st place? I really like it, hence the ungodly amount of replay.

This game friggin ruled. I would love for it to happen, but I find it highly unlikely we'll ever see an HD version that isn't fan-made.

Aside from being the first really good Transformers game, there wasn't anything terribly noteworthy about it to warrant an updated re-release. Especially since it was tied into a line that's long since completed.

Nope. I hated this game.

I would love an updated game, I mean it still looks good, but a HD version would rock.
However, the possibility of this is about as high as Chris Latta voicing Starscream again.

If its a full on remake with new controls, graphics & physics then yes if its jut an upscaled version like Zone of the Enders HD or Jak & Daxter HD then no. If your going to re-release a game in HD fix the bugs & revamp the controls, i love ZoE but the controls are terrible.

I never owned a playstation 2. Actually, never owned any console past the Playstation other than the wii, which I rarely played. So I never had the pleasure of playing this particular Transformers game. But if someone wants to start a petition to get it updated to an HD version, and port to PC along with a release on PS3 or PS4, I'll happily sign it.

Never had a PlayStation, never will (Xbox master race! 8-} )

But I will definitely root for an HD remake.

I'd be down for it. That game was the single enjoyable thing about armada for me. However, the current crop of Transformers vastly surpasses this one. It was a whole lot of fun though.

If there was 1 thing I wish they could add to/fix on the game, it would be putting Demolisher back into it. Originally, he was supposed to be the boss in the Antarctic level, not Starscream.

If I bought another PS2, the only games I would get would be this and Spider-Man 2. I loved this game. I still have the demo disc of it. "Transformers Red Alert".... I found it when clearing out the attic a couple of weeks ago, though have nothing to play it on...

I wonder how a PS2 emulator would run on my computer...

I tried one, and trust me, it's terrible. Unless you have a really, really powerful computer, get ready to see everything move at like 10 frames per second.
