New to the forums but have been a lurker for quite some time. Seibertron.com is one of my most visited TF websites! Short intro, I moved from Canada to take a manufacturing consulting position job in China and have connections to some really competitive plastic injection mold companies.

With that said and given the new CrazyDevy upgrades for Predaking, IF they do not end up making a large broadsword (I don't see a sword in any of their upcoming parts images and by large broadsword I mean identical to Razorclaw's sword but 3-4x larger in scale) I'm considering investing in producing a small scale run on my own. The color and quality will match that of Razorclaw's own sword. I will be picking up a Takara 2010 Predaking and all the availible crazydevy parts but I would definitely want a large broadsword for Predaking as well. I will ensure the material and color used will be identical to razorclaws sword.

Would there be any interest and what's a 'realistic' price that you would be willing to pay pre-shipping for one?

Honestly I can't imagine CrazyDevy not doing a Predaking sword, but if you have those kind of resources at your disposal there are plenty of other TF items you could create. I'm sure the folk around here could supply you with countless ideas. Good luck!

*ahem* I'd totally be interested in a larger Predaking sword. The swords of the individual Predacons just don't cut it (pardon the pun), they look more like butter knives with Predaking. I wouldn't just upsize Razorclaw's sword though, I'd like it to be unique to him. Maybe make a design that incorporates features of all 5 swords?

MP Grimlock's Sword actually looks pretty good on Predaking. may have to look through eBay to see if i can find and extra one for him.

The idea about the swords combining into a big sword. Could be well rounded for both individual characters and Predaking. As well as not having to lose swords in that magical limbo were Prime's trailer goes. As for how much would I spend... Depends on what it looks like in his hand. I wouldn't want to buy something that looked like a butter knife in his hand. $30-70. I mean Classics Prime, Magnus, and Nemesis Prime God swords are roughly at that high end price range.

Currently, I'm not looking into 'redesigning' the sword per se as that will greatly up the cost of production. Taking razorclaw's current sword and scaling it to a much larger version as seen in one of the famous Dreamwave posters I believe will appeal to the general collector. Unlike CrazyDevy pricing, I don't want to separate the 'haves' from the 'have nots' so I was thinking of pricing these swords at around $20/per.

Again, ALL speculation at this point depending on what CrazyDevy does ...

I can dig it. As Jazz would say. 20 bucks sounds good to me for a big ass sword that could cleave Autobots. Consider me already in line for it, and will be watching Devy on his productions.

$20 definitely sounds reasonable.
