A first world problem.

I got FOC Prime today. Cool figure who is now happily wielding PCC Chopster.

...but where am I placing this guy? He's a Generations figure, judging by that, he belongs on my CHURG shelf. But since the story of FOC leads to Prime... He could ALSO be placed with the Prime figures.

What to do?

Put him in the kitchen. Next to the biscuits.

Or in the biscuit tin.

 That's why I never bothered about buying the FoC Prime.

Had the same feeling when I bought WFC Prime. Yes, I already have the Classics voyager Prime which can not be replaced. But this WFC Prime is way too cool to pass up. So what should I do? Well, I repainted him into Nemesis Prime and put him with my Decepticons.

I put him on my Prime shelf. Now, if there is a Megatron coming, that would be great. It would make the shelves equal yet again. If not, I have to get another WFC Megatron.

I keep WfC/FoC figures in their own group. They're far too G1 for Prime (regardless of what official word is), and I don't have any "proper" Classics-style figures for them to pal around with.

If I had that figure, I'd put it in the basket that hold my dog's chew toys. That's the only place it belongs.

When I set up my collection in my new home, I will display all WFC/FOC figures together as a group, and that group will be displayed alongside my "CHURG" collection.

Since there's a ton of FoC stuff coming out, I just placed him with the WFC/FoC stuff facing the SDCC Bruticus box as a random Autobot.

My other option was to place him in vehicle mode half-transformed behind WFC Optimus at an angle so it looks like Op's transforming into action.

I guess neither of those really help for the Prime universe. Whoops.

Another idea: arrange the CHURG shelf in "chronological" order, so you can place Prime on one side of it, and FoC/WfC between the two.

Or do as people have suggested above, and start a FoC/WfC shelf.

(I still think the biscuit tin is the better choice though..)

if you put him in the biscuit tin, you might have to eat all the biscuits in there first. I'll go and check my biscuit tin, and see if I have room for him.

I have a "Cybertron Mode" shelf. For the most part, if a figure ONLY has a Cybertron mold, like (say) Shockwave, he's in the main shelf. But all the rest go here. On the other hand, this means I have three "Cybertron Mode" Optimus Primes - Titanium War Within, War For Cybertron, and now Fall Of Cybertron...

I have him with my Classics. I see him as a pre-Earth Prime, basically.

I can see that cybertron mode stuff, yeah. I already have United WFC Mgatron, since he was sol as Cybertron mode Megatron, I just naturally put him in with the Generations stuff.

What's with all the hate on this guy anyway?

He's smaller, blockier and simpler to transform than his predecessor. It's not a problem for me, but most people might see it as a step down, especially since FoC (so far) seems to be superior to WfC in every way. The toy just simply fails.

I don't hate the figure, I just think he would look great in the kitchen!

I second that. I saw one in person, I laughed. Not a hearty chuckle, but a sad, reflective one on what TF's have become.

Buy 2 others and place them in all your continuities. 8-} I'm displaying him with WFC.

That's just evil.

I don't think this figure should be ridiculed for it's size, as it's not a flaw in this figure, but more a symptom of what's going on in general. Where this Prime the same size as a regular deluxe, I don't think it would have been that much of a hatemagnet.

Size IS important. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Looks like you need to start a collection of OPs and Megs that don't fit it elsewhere. That's where my 07 movie OP and Megs are, as well as movie protoform, revoltech and Hybrid Style. There's also that most horrible of shelves: the shelf where TFs go that don't fit with anything.

And it's just an ugly design. It looks like it was designed by an intern or based on some little kid's sketch or something.

Ah, the shelf of misfit toys. In my house, that's the movie line of toys - that slow, shuffling conga line into some other series. Except DOTM Megatron and Laserbeak, because they're badass.
