My first thought was Scraplets, but calling them the Swarm would be more fitting as the swarm has been mentioned before already in AHM.

Interesting... I would bet the new writer got the big book with "swarm is on Cybertron" and he just imagined a new enemy with that name instead of looking after what the hell it was... :?
