An idea/thought came to mind while watching the film Super 8 the other night. I think a live action Transformers film set in the late 70's or early 80's would be charming and cool. Super 8 presented the events in the film along side some great music and a story with heart. As I watched Super 8, I thought that I would love to watch a Transformers movie in the same era where the Autobots and Decepticons are at odds but on a much smaller scale so to speak. In other words, the age old battle wouldn't be world wide but more confined to a single town or smaller geographical area. Also, the human characters would be more personable and relatable. This whole idea/thought isn't very cohesive but what do you all think?
